Yes, let's change that. I've been on the board of several non-profits and cooperatives. I also usually had about 12-15 meetings (an average of 200 hours per year) for them. At best, I got reimbursed for my expenses. Yes, the pay is high. However, it would actually be worth it if they did their jobs better. Stop overpaying CEOs, entrenching themselves, agreeing to dual-class and other provisions that lead to autocracies. By diversifying board composition, enhancing decision-making processes, promoting board independence and engagement, implementing innovative governance practices, and enhancing corporate democracy, companies can achieve better governance outcomes. These strategies not only benefit shareholders but also contribute to the long-term sustainability and success of the company. I saw this as a SIGN (yes, it’s a pun. I’m the dad to four daughters. It’s part of the job.)  BIG THINGS HAPPEN HERE Last year, we decided on more than just a name change to Propeller Talent. We are thinking BIG, just like the sign. We’ve worked nationally for 25 years, mainly in the Midwest, serving Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, Industrial Services, and Distribution. Our big plans meant moving beyond the Midwest. I saw this sign while leaving Love Field in Dallas on my first trip. The statement was so “in your face” that I needed to take a picture. Now I spend 50% of my time here. Why Dallas, you ask? 1. Incredible growth that a lot of the Country hasn’t fully grasped 2. Infectious energy: It seems that everyone I meet has a boundless amount of energy and optimism about the future 3. Welcoming people who are always happy to network and provide introductions to others  4. Here are some key takeaways: Employee Motivation: Age, particularly among Gen X and Boomers, plays a significant role. Providing experiences that allow employees to showcase their expertise is crucial. Understanding individual needs and fostering a servant heart mentality are also key.
