One of the most beautiful moments in Cincinnati men's final match was Carlos taking a moment during his speech to show love & appreciation to his big brother. A few key takeaways from that match I can relate to my day to day job. 1: Your job is not done until its done (Carlos own the 1st set and was leading 4-2 in the 2nd set, yet he didn't win the match) 2: Its okay to show emotions(or cry). In the end, we all are humans and emotions are part and parcel of our day to day work life (and of course personal life too) 3: Don't shout at your team just because you didn't get the result you wanted 4: Don't forget the team who helped you through out your journey (Carlos hasn't forgotten who helped him get there & he's making sure the world knows it as well) 5: Always smile (win or no-win). Triad's nationwide sales team united in St. Louis for three days of learning, laughter, and team bonding. We reflected on incredible achievements in 2023 and planned for 2024, all while having a whole lot of fun! We started off with a delicious dinner at Edera, where the dinner table turned into a comedy club - fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared joy. The next day we gained insights from thought-provoking presentations by department heads across design, customer service, engineering, finance, marketing, and installation. Engaging with experts from different departments provided us with a multitude of invaluable insights, enhancing our collective knowledge. Amen (our GM of facilities and production) guided us through the factory, showcasing our ongoing projects, machines, and investments. A significant investment for us was the construction of our new storage building. Wrapping up the experience, we had a blast at Top Golf, connecting with more members of our fantastic team and revealing some impressive skills among our team members. Triad is more than a team; it's a big, supportive family. We consistently have an incredible time whenever we come together, and we hope you have the opportunity to experience working with the Triad family. Last month I had the privilege of tagging along with a couple of the lads who had achieved their quarterly targets to Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Parks. Working behind the scenes as I do, I see what the lads put into achieving their targets and even the ones who don't, and the effort and dedication is obvious. Sales can be a very lonely environment, but here at LEGGWORK we are building a team. A team that helps each other, a team that drives each other and a team that achieves with each other. This is the biggest #lesson I've learned from playing pickleball every weekend... I take pickleball pretty seriously for being a weekend warrior. 😉 Every time I do something outside of #sales, I'm always looking for a lesson to take away. In pickleball, there's singles and duos. 1-on-1 or 2-on-2. I've learned pickleball is SO MUCH HARDER and way more challenging 1-on-1. You have to cover the whole court all by yourself and you really have to be on your toes! What's the correlation here? #Teamwork makes the dream work! Not only is pickleball harder solo... so is #business! If you're just starting your own business, you know what it's all about. You're doing sales, marketing, customer support, fulfillment, retention, etc all by yourself. It's a lot to cover! So the message is, don't take your #teammates and co-workers for granted. Everyone has a particular role and more than likely, without those people in place, your job would be a lot harder and you probably wouldn't be AS successful as you are. Success is a team effort! Avoid going at it alone - it just takes you longer and it's a lot more lonely on that path! Was fortunate to visit the Kentucky Derby 🐎 Museum and see Churchill Downs in person…the history, legacy, pageantry, is all something that comes to life while there… Something else blew my mind while doing a quick tour there… 44,000 + colts a year are registered ®️ that COULD potentially compete in the Derby! Do you know how many make it to the “MOST EXCITING TWO MINUTES IN SPORTS”?! 16-18! Probably not the best odds for the amount of money being invested!!! To all my RECRUITING FRIENDS out there, remember, when you feel it’s impossible to find the RIGHT PERSON for your clients’ needs, they are out there, and there’s a good chance your odds are BETTER than those trying to get their horse into this race! 💪 So, don’t give up! Keep connecting, keep sourcing, keep calling, and keep making the introductions happen! 👊 Your hard work matters, yes, to your client, but also to your candidates and your community! 👏 If you’re working with a recruiter who is communicative, listens to your needs, is not just trying to throw something against the wall in hopes that it sticks, etc., VALUE them, and know that just because your race horse isn’t stalled and ready to go, doesn’t mean they won’t be found soon! 𝐓 𝐄 𝐀 𝐌 I've been on a lot of them. Countless volleyball teams, high school basketball and tennis teams, homecoming committee teams, student government teams, fundraising teams, and board volunteer teams. This is my current sales team at Gibson - just the three of us. And I couldn't love it anymore. We aren't the same. In fact, we are each pretty different, but because of that, we bring a key component to our little team. As I sat in our Gibson Q4 All Sales Team Meeting this week, I was energized by the idea of Gibson becoming 100 years old, having offices in over 20 locations across the country, serving 10X as many clients as we have today, and growing internally by hundreds of new co-workers. In my visualization of what this looks like, all 400+ employees at Gibson were cheering and celebrating our success at Gibson's 100th birthday in 2033! And then it hit me. In order to do all of that... in order to expand... in order to reach those lofty goals... my little team of 3 won't stay the same. New faces will join. New service team members will come aboard. New offices will bring on new team members from across the country. If 400+ of us are going to celebrate Gibson's success in 10 years, things are going to change... And as I type this, I am making the conscious decision that that's okay. Change is okay. Actually, change is a really good thing. 4 years ago, our sales team consisted of one person. 3 years ago, our sales team consisted of two. But for the last 2.5 years, our sales team has been made up of three. And with each addition, we've gotten significantly better. I can't wait to see what it looks like when there are 10 of us. But at the same time, I'm really grateful for it being just the three of us right now. Change is uncomfortable, but change is so good. It's 𝒃𝒐𝒕𝒉, 𝒂𝒏𝒅... #findyouredge #growthmindset #change
