The news headlines about what perks or elements of office design make for a great employee experience seem to be dominated by fads — think treadmill desks, nap pods, and “bring your dog to work day” for starters. But in a recent poll of 1,614 North American employees, access to natural light and views of the outdoors was the number one attribute of the workplace. 💡 Employees prioritize natural light and outdoor views in the workplace, valuing them over other perks. 💡 Lack of natural light negatively affects the employee experience and well-being. 🍇 Employee well-being is gaining importance in workplace satisfaction and engagement. 📱 Mobile device usage increases the desire for visual breaks and natural light. 😃 Research demonstrates that natural light improves health, reduces eyestrain, headaches, and drowsiness. 🏢 Organizations need to rethink workspaces to prioritize natural light, recognizing its impact on employee well-being and performance.

We design our workplaces with the wants and needs of civil servants in mind. Using employee-centred design principles we aim to create accessible environments that support smarter working and enable collaboration, creativity and community regardless of how and where people choose to work.
