Today is International Women's Day. Let's take a moment to reflect on this quote - "One woman can make a difference, but together we can rock the world". It's time for us to come together and make a concerted effort to support, lift up, and recognize women for their contributions and impact. Did you know that despite making up 58.4% of the US workforce, only 35% of women hold senior leadership positions? And in Fortune 500 companies, only 10.5% of leadership positions are held by women. Even on S&P Boards of Directors, only 30% are women. However, companies with women executives are 30% more likely to outperform other companies. That's why this year's International Women's Day theme is so appropriate - “Invest in women: Accelerate progress”. Let's make it a priority to invest in and support women in leadership positions, and watch as progress accelerates. #InternationalWomensDay #InvestInWomen #AccelerateProgress

1wKudos to PNC for putting a spotlight on uplifting women business leaders in pursuing what they are passionate about and benefiting the general economy in the process. Business metrics have shown and continue to show that women leaders make a huge impacrt in providing a more creative environment that leads to greater employee satisfaction (among other things) and a higher bottom line (as much as 30% depending on who’s doing the measuring)!
