Does BALENCIAGA have a €500M blind spot? I'll let you decide...
Exhibit One: A recent public review paints a troubling picture: "Purchased a bag which ripped apart on the first couple of uses, the team has stopped responding and kept our original product for 3 months."
This isn't an isolated incident.
Exhibit Two: The data reveals a deeper €500M customer loss:
→ Brand Experience: -€301M
→ Retail Channels: -€70M
→ Quality: -€105M
→ Delivery Excellence: -€55M
→ End-to-End Returns: -€22M
Is the brand chasing artistry over customer excellence? What do customers and shareholders think?
Consider the potential transformation if François-Henri Pinault and Kering's executive team were to invest just 140 hours in addressing these critical touchpoints. The impact could be significant.
These improvements, if implemented, could unlock a substantial €500M in value. This would not only drive significant growth but also restore shareholder confidence in both Balenciaga and Kering.
The question, though, is: Can Kering afford to ignore this? Just imagine if they chose to see instead.

Haute Couture Meets Haute Horlogerie:
A Fashionable Affair
The latest haute horlogerie offerings from luxury maison Dior draw on its haute couture legacy, with feathers, flowers, the baroque architecture of the Paris Opera House, sumptuous fabrics, and feathered petticoats, all dancing their way on to colourful dials that are adorned with scintillating diamonds.
But it’s no wonder that numerous fashion houses are drawn into the realm of wristwatches, ensuring that they don’t miss out on the success enjoyed by mechanical timepieces. Given that watch prices and profits surpass those of shirts, shoes, or pants.
Fashion is a dynamic and multifaceted concept, encompassing clothing, style, culture, creativity, and industry. It reflects individual and societal values, is a platform for artistic expression, and represents an ever-evolving aspect of our daily lives.

💡 Art, luxury, and fashion converged during this week's Haute Couture in Paris. Ever wondered how it all works?
The designs showcased on the runway blur the boundaries between fashion and art, resembling exquisite artworks more than ready-to-wear garments.
Let's explore the dynamics of haute couture and its synergy with the art world.
💡 During the runway shows, exclusive by invitation only audiences of buyers admire these unique pieces.
💡 Post-show, fashion houses open their showrooms for an exclusive clientèle of VIPs to schedule appointments and explore these creations. Clients can purchase pieces as displayed or request personalised adjustments.
These runway pieces often command prices reaching thousands, echoing the allure of collecting fine art.
Fashion is inherently more commercial than art, yet fashion houses balance it with ready-to-wear collections, which fund the creation of these meticulously crafted works of art.

KeringBALENCIAGA can we apply what the ancient Romans used to say “errare humanum est, perseverare autem diabolicum”?
Or is it more “per aspera ad astra?”
What do you think of this haute couture?
Will this positively impact the brand and the group business?
What shall we expect for results Q2 and Half 2024?
Will sticking to this strategy prove the management is creating value and business around the brand?
