We all - consumers, industry, politics - have been denying and/or slow in the past to recognize the importance and value of recycling. It´s therefore crucial to unlock all potentials now for mechanical as well as chemical recycling to capture the value streams and relief our resources from further stress. Let´s align on this goal rather to quarrel and divide.

It was a great opportunity to participate in the « Debunking the myth: Additives prevent recycling ». The webinar provided valuable insights into the role of additives in protecting polyolefins during the process of mechanical recycling. Mechanical recycling is not hindered by slip additives."What actions are taken to protect the polymer throughout the three recycling cycles?" The impact of additives on the degradation mechanisms of PP or HDPE may vary. Nevertheless, it remains advantageous for the recycling process to prevent further degradation.
