Texas Veterans Advocate connecting Veterans, Transitioning Service Members, and Military Spouses with the resources and tools they need to lead productive lives and enjoy the full benefits of the society they served.

Major Talent is a nationwide, free resource designed to enhance the job-seeking experience for veterans and to assist companies committed to hiring veterans and military spouses. The Major Talent platform translates military careers, skills, and competencies into civilian-friendly language, making it easier for HR professionals to understand and appreciate the unique qualifications of military candidates. Key features of Major Talent include:            Building a skills-based resume in a "demilitarized" business format.            Enhancing interviewing skills.            Providing direct access to hiring managers.            Our platform offers veterans a template resume that they can customize with their own achievements and download for free.   While some feel this is similar to TVC & Workforce Solutions, the major difference is this resume platform does the translation of mil-to-civ jobs and duties for them, while providing a skills-based resume, easy to read by employer HR departments.              VSOs have their clients use this platform to reduce their time helping create a resume, so they can focus more on the qualitative & quantitative bullets.
