Calling all AI builders - we're teaming up with OpenAI and Crusoe to host Hacking for Clean Energy, an AI hackathon focused on accelerating the scale up of renewable energy. Mark your calendars for June 28-29 in San Francisco. Thousands of clean energy projects are bogged down by permitting, paperwork, and process. AI and software hold the key to unblocking these bottlenecks. We'll be accepting 100+ AI engineers, designers, and product leaders to develop novel AI-powered solutions that can do just that. Want to hear straight from the source on the issues? We've confirmed speakers from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), who will be hosting a public discussion on the problems in the space. Several experts from the national labs will also be joining us to share the latest on a new AI data corpus. Thanks to Crusoe, we'll be awarding $3K in cash to the winning team, who will have a chance to share their project to top venture capitalists, engineering leaders, journalists, and a visiting congressional delegation. Apply below or tag someone in the thread that you think should. Hope to see you next month!
This sounds amazing—Might have to plan a trip to California for this ! 🚀✨
Awesome program!

1moGreat idea, love the rally cry. I think there is a clear need for technology driven solutions to completely re-structuring the interconnection queue study process such that there are dynamic, real-time interconnection studies occurring as new projects apply and others drop-out. Right now across all RTO/ISOs there are major inefficiencies in the interconnection queue process, which are not built to react quickly to large volumes of projects entering and exiting the queue. I highly recommend having people from these RTO/ISOs and from project developers represented in a Hackathon like this.
