Did you know that someone who designs flags is called a Vexillographer? Now you know. Beyond being a visual symbol of identification for the people of a country, the national flag can serve as a patriotic symbol that signifies hope and inspiration for the people. The national flag represents the ideology on which a country was built. It also signifies a time in history and thus carries a lot of historical meaning for the people of the country. The topic of female nudity has not been widely explored in the history of Spanish art, perhaps because it was considered obscene. It is worth noting that while it was relatively common to copy nude male models in academies at the time, the female body in the same condition was studied through classical sculpture or existing pictorial works, and never through photography. 'Maja Desnúda: Today's Contrast with the Past,' a project crafted by me, seeks to break these historical boundaries by presenting a contemporary exploration of the female form. This project delves into the evolution of artistic perspectives on female nudity, challenging societal norms that once deemed it taboo. Through a visual narrative that contrasts the present with the past, it celebrates the timeless beauty of the female body while reflecting on the transformative journey of art and perception.
