As I sit down to share my experience here at The Talent Games, I can't help but feel incredibly grateful for the past 10 months. I joined GoProposal as the second employee. We went on to sell the company for 8 figures. I learned SO much from this job. Initially, it was a true startup - I did whatever needed doing. But as we grew the team, I started to take on the more public-facing stuff: - Marketing - Public Speaking - Personal Branding I became the company's marketing manager and grew a team of 5. We kept growing (and so did I), so I was eventually moved on to become the Ops Director at 25yo. It doesn’t stop there - 6 months later, the Founder decided to sell. So it was heads down for a year getting the business ready for sale (I’ve never worked that hard in my life). But it paid off, when the company was sold for an 8-fig sum. Wild time. If there’s one thing I learned about growing fast in a career it’s this: You need to directly ASK for what you want. Pay rise? Promotion? More (or less) responsibility? There are less qualified people living your dream because they had the courage to ask for it.
