✅Strong 1st earnings report. ✨BRANDS. I’m talking Chris Pratt + Pringles. I’m talking a Pop-Tart is the first edible mascot in sports history. Enough said… 🏆Provocative vision to become the best snacks-led powerhouse. 😃Coworkers I’ve adored for 8+ years and counting. Leadership is easy if it's just "yes" and "good job". But, how to communicate a "no"? Take denying Franz's (Happiness Manager at snapADDY GmbH) ask for Breakfast: I know that Jochen Seelig or Luise Seelig already provided breakfast. That morning I had no Skyr to spare. Torturing Franz with the allure of finishing my plate was no option. So I needed to communicate clearly that there was no breakfast to be had. (Something he likely wouldn't tolerate) Here's how to handle Nos: - Understand the intention behind the question/action - Communicate clearly and in a way the other person understands - Address their concerns - Let them be disappointed - Differentiate specific decisions from the grand scheme of working together Here's what I could improve upon: - Do not show your surprise if a "no" is accepted - Do not laugh while communicating your denial - Make sure no one else will overwrite your decision (in this example provide food - looking at Melanie A.) Also of note, while he is a great employee, Franz hates listening to anyone other than his direct bosses. So, big win for me. #leadership #sales #dog

You meet a lot of people in business... at least I do. Some of those people play a very specific and pre-agreed role, others have no idea of the contribution or impact they make on you as a person or on your business. Richard Mack of RT Promotions is one of those impactful people who may not realise his impact. I met Richard early on in my self-employed journey. He was a natural cheerleader; quick to let me know that I was welcome and valued, to spot me doing things right and to celebrate me as a person and the effort I was putting in. 👏 There have been times when I have ventured well outside of my comfort zone and was really unsure if it was a risk too far, and in came Richard, to tell me I was doing something inspirational and offering me words of support and encouragement. Richard sells branded merchandise for a living, but really his team do product matchmaking. It is definitely more 'find a fit' than 'sell some stuff', because he's just too decent a person for the hard sell. It is physically impossible to do more business with out having more people to do business with. My mission as CEO is not just to provide a service or oversee a company but to ALSO drive opportunity. If more people yields more opportunity potential then the equation is simple…. eyeballs = potential dollar signs, and the only true business game we are playing is awareness.
