Opinion: One of the reasons contingent #recruiting is so expensive... is because precious time & resources are wasted by recruiters doing... contingent recruiting. Most firms doing contingent recruiting want 20-30% of your hire's first year salary. Example: $80k salary = $16-24k recruiting cost. What's more, many of these recruiters have a pile of candidates they're trying to place. For that kind of money, you'd think they'd be targeting and finding candidates specific to your unique company, culture, and needs. While we're at it... a fee based on a percentage of salary incentivizes a recruiter to work for and negotiate on the candidate's behalf, not the client's. All I'm saying is there might be a better way. 😉 -MV
