Very interesting. Leadership in this area is already key and will likely become even more relevant in the future to pursue innovative diagnostic tools and treatments. Safety will also be a concern: the fact that the processing is a black box makes errors difficult to predict; the sooner safety is established empirically for specific applications, the sooner we will be able to use these tools to their full potential.

This is a really good look at how large companies are leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to improve the overall quality of healthcare. It is important that we go beyond diagnosis and expand into drug development, patient care, and physician learning.
