Say hi to Scotland E. Nash EdD, Talent Rewire's Director of Employer Transformation in our latest Staff Spotlight post! To employers, she says: "I think that it is important that we all remember how full everyone’s lives are. Frontline employees are often juggling many personal and professional dynamics in addition to potentially facing economic uncertainty with hourly work. I think that sometimes there is a perception that frontline employees don’t care or aren’t able if there is a missed meeting or missed shift. Frontline employees are more than workers – they are dynamic and interesting humans with lots of responsibilities and at times a lot less stability and predictability than what comes with salaried and higher level roles." Recent research conducted by Ipsos Karian and Box in 'Making the Case for the Office' has suggested those that work exclusively from home believe their organisations are less transparent and that they have fewer discussions with their manager about career development and that a hybrid model is better for trust. Joanna Parsons FIIC chairs this panel on trust and belonging, with Sam Bleazard, Isabel Collins, Russell Grossman, and Shalini Gupta. #simplyEXP23

We are still blowing our horn about having been ranked as one of Australia's Best Workplaces™ for 2023 by Great Place To Work® - the global authority on workplace culture. Why does this ranking matter to you? Coming in 13th position in the Micro category (10-29 employees), this means we truly understand the role culture plays in the workplace and work hard to make sure the candidates we place hit your culture brief every time. Those scores don't lie. Where candidates have the same skillsets, it pays to know your recruiter gets the culture match right. #culturekings #coxpurtell #techrecruitment #govtrecruitment #businesssupport #lifeatcp #recruiter #recruitersofsydney #recruitment

Less than one third of emerging professionals believe that they will stay in the consultancy and engineering industry for their whole career! 💡 Our Scotland committee recently released a survey to better understand people’s experience in this new post-pandemic workplace. Our fifth set of findings is centred around the theme ‘Why do people leave?’. Perceptions of career progression opportunities, fair pay and work-life balance are causing emerging professionals to leave the consultancy and engineering industry. Part 2 of ‘Why do people leave?’ focuses on fair pay and work-life balance. 👉 We’ll be releasing a round-up of our most interesting facts next week, so follow our page to make sure you don’t miss this! #futureofworkplace #postpandemic #emergingprofessionals Jennifer Williamson Robert Gray Cameron Russell Connor Caplen Connor Guinea Talha Syed Craig McAulay Katy Irving Beth Hercus Mark Boyle Cundall AtkinsRéalis WSP in the UK Brodies LLP Arup

I recently posted about how important it is to cultivate #employeevoice at your organization. The team at Talent Rewire have a lot of helpful resources for companies seeking to increase their #employeeengagement strategies, especially companies with #frontlineworkers. I had the absolute pleasure to support Talent Rewire with some strategy work this past year. Through that time, the entire team helped me to deepen my understanding of the importance of employee voice and employer vulnerability. They are a passionate team that lives their values and are helping so many employers re-frame the relationship between management and frontline employees for the betterment of company culture, productivity, retention, and profitability. A few valuable bits of wisdom for employers from Scotland E. Nash EdD: - Direct communication and honest feedback builds trust. - It is important for people to do what they say they will do. - Listen for understanding, communicate transparently and remain open to feedback - It is important to center employee voice and not make assumptions - Create multiple opportunities for employees to be heard. - Do not wait for exit interviews to learn what you could have done differently. Be open to conversation. Be vulnerable. Be empathic in your listening. Be curious. Be human. #workforcetransformation #talentstrategy #qualityjobs
