This week, JCB broke ground on its newest North American manufacturing facility in San Antonio, TX. The 720,000 sq. ft. facility, which sits on 400 acres, represents a $500 million investment by the company and will be our second-largest factory in the world. The factory will produce telehandlers and access equipment for the North American market, and we plan to add 1,500 team members to the JCB family over the first five years. On hand for the ceremony were JCB Chairman Lord Bamford and Alice Bamford, JCB Executives, Texas State, Bexar County and City of San Antonio officials and community members. The ceremony was an exciting way to celebrate joining the San Antonio community officially and we look forward to our continued partnership with the entire state of Texas.
