Researchers at Tokyo Tech have developed a #lead-vacancy (PbV) center in diamond, enhancing quantum networks by enabling stable, high-frequency photon emission. This advancement allows quantum information to be transmitted over long distances, addressing previous limitations seen in NV (Azote) and SiV (Silicon) centers. The new PbV center operates efficiently at higher temperatures, simplifying the implementation of quantum networks.
