Hello to my LinkedIn connections. I have always believed that like minds must be connected and well acquainted with one another. 🖋️That being said, it is critical to build a solid foundation for the formation of dialogues among like-minded individuals. Finding like-minded people and exchanging ideas with them has always helped me comprehend the fundamentals of the area or expertise, and it is something that should never be disregarded, especially in the life of a student. That being said, I am looking forward to interacting and engaging with like-minded individuals of #medicine with the understanding of #publichealth to please come forward and talk about their experiences and ideas on this relatively underappreciated sector so that there is a better clarification of the specialist knowledge.

They deem themselves infallible They confabulate They never admit to ignorance and are resistant to learning They never seek advice or even information They are hypervigilant, defensive, and aggressive or passive-aggressive They are vindictive Patronizing, condescending attitude to patients, god complex Regard every query as narcissistic injury, a challenge to authority (fallacy) They perceive themselves as godlike and therefore immune to the consequences of errors and choices They are defiant, daring, and contumacious (for example, with regard to treatment protocols) They are antisocial, even criminal They are prone to conspiracism, confirmation bias, and superstitions Gaslight in a fantasy space which is a cultlike guild Solutions: multiple opinions, reliance on common sense, experience of others, evidence-based practices (new discoveries take 15 years to filter down to praxis), assertiveness, and research.

Personal Statement and Lack of Confidence: The prevalent trend of applicants seeking external assistance for their US internal medicine residency personal statements serves as a stark reminder of their underlying lack of confidence. This heavy reliance on outside input not only dilutes the authenticity and self-assuredness crucial for success in the medical field but also raises questions about an applicant's ability to independently express their motivations and experiences. Paying others thousands to craft a personal statement might appear tempting, but consider this: if you secure interviews solely on your statement, how will you justify it? I'm not suggesting blind writing; what I emphasize is crafting your story in your words first. Create an initial draft yourself and edit it independently. Once you're satisfied, then seek professional advice for further refinement. Don't blindly pay for a statement you're disconnected from. The underlying message is about confidence. #ERAS #match2024 #personalstatement #ERAS2024 #ResidencyMatch #MatchApplication #ERASApplication #Match2023 #USResidency #USA #Residency #foreignmedicalgraduate #medicine #medschool #medstudent #medicalschool #resident #PersonalStatement #ERASCV #ResidencyInterview

✏ Personal Statement Series(1): Reflections ✏ Are you struggling to write your personal statement for medical school? Do you feel completely overwhelmed, with no unique ideas? 💡 Here’s Part 1 on how to make your bland statement stand out 🌟: Show, don’t tell: This may seem very obvious, but many applicants make the mistake of just listing the experiences they have had. This doesn’t give ANY indication of what you know about the role of a doctor and is likely to get you rejected. Here’s one example: Applicant A: “I worked for 5 months at a care home. I worked with the elderly multiple times a week, which opened my eyes to the challenges they face. Also, I read a book…” Applicant B: “I had the privilege of working with the elderly at a care home. I was surprised by how multiple patients felt lonely and anxious without their families to take care of them. I took the time to listen carefully to their concerns and also try to cheer them up which made a real difference by the end. This demonstrated to me how important communication is when…” Which applicant would you pick? Even though Applicant A may mention more experiences, Applicant B is MORE likely to get an offer. Always keep this in mind: QUALITY > QUANTITY To sum up, MAKE SURE to demonstrate that you have seriously reflected on the skills required by a doctor and that you have developed these to some degree throughout your experiences. If this helped you, make sure to stay tuned for Part 2: Common Mistakes. #medicine #inspiration #career #essay
