On Christmas Eve, I asked my 4-year-old if she thought Santa would bring what she wanted for Christmas. “Yes,” she said confidently. “I only asked for two things, and I asked for the same things when we saw Santa at the donut shop, at his house and in my letter. I’ll get it.” She was right. Her consistent message to one and all began in November: She wanted a squishmallow for Christmas. From Santa, she also requested a pair of Elmo slippers. The clarity and consistency made it clear and easy to deliver on her expectations.(she got several squishmallows, because we all listened and delivered.) Whether you’re setting a company strategy for the new year, planning your own to-do list or building a playbook for how you use your communication channels, be like the 4-year-old: Keep your list of demands short. Ask for them often. Don’t change course. #planning #strategy #communicationstrategy #messaging #holidays #workingmom #santa #consistency #branding

🎄 Office Christmas Party Survival Guide 🎄 🌟 DO's: 1. **Jingle All the Way:** Rock that festive sweater like you're auditioning for the North Pole Fashion Show! 2. **Spread Cheer, Not Gossip:** Compliment the decorations, not your coworker's questionable fashion choices. 3. **Dance Floor Diplomacy:** Break out those dance moves, but avoid interpretive dance unless you're sure your boss is a fan. 4. **Mingle Mingle:** Chat with everyone, not just your desk neighbor. Santa's watching, and so is HR. 🙅♂️ DON'Ts: 1. **Mistletoe Missteps:** Keep it classy, folks. The mistletoe isn't a license for awkward advances. 2. **Office Karaoke Oblivion:** Think twice before attempting that Mariah Carey high note. It's harder than it looks. 3. **Reindeer Games Gone Wrong:** Save the pranks for April Fools. Turning the boss's chair into a sleigh might not be well-received. 4. **Elf on the Shelf Shenanigans:** Remember, colleagues are not action figures. No posing them in compromising positions. Remember, it's the season to be jolly, not the season to be on your boss's naughty list! Happy Holidays, office elves! 🎅🤶 #OfficePartyDosAndDonts #TisTheSeasonToBeSmart

Here I am enjoying the famous October UK sunshine 😉 Extra points if you know where I am... It's been half term in our neck of the woods so what have I been filling my time with? - A family birthday celebration with cupcakes and board games - 6hrs at an adventure farm with 12 children and adults - An evening trip to Ikea with an alien trail (to occupy my 6 year old) and fit around my 10 year old's bowling evening. - Reading 3 books - The Burning Girls by C.J Tudor, People Like Her by Ellery Lloyd and The Hike by Lucy Clarke - I would recommend them all. - A mum's night out to Heathers the musical at the theatre - Lunch at Box Park and another Ikea trip to buy some of their Christmas bits (yes I mentioned the C word already 😂) - A brick people Lego event and Escape room trail at Denbies Wine Estate. - A Halloween party with 20 children and adults - I was Little Dead Riding Hood (Pictures might be coming soon, watch this space!) - A trip to the cinema to see Trolls Band Together - Wrapped up with a walk in nature and library trip with a fresh stack of books for my next reading spree. And guess what? I've still got that smile on! Work's going to feel like a holiday after this. 🤓 I've shared a snippet of my non-work life. What's a highlight from your personal adventures these past weeks? Let me know in the comments below and if you have pics to share even better! #WorkHardPlayHard #WorkLifeBalance #CommunityManagers #WellbeingMatters

👩💻I help women execs identify, achieve and maintain the lifestyle they want, without the fear of running out of money, through online lifestyle financial planning and coaching.
It’s the weeeeekend baby… This little phrase takes me back to my youth and Friday mornings on the Gareth Cliff show on 5 FM. Driving to school with my dad, and then later, on my own, it signaled the start of something fun, fun with my friends, no work or school or varsity. Time to let loose and be carefree.. Now as a parent and husband, Friday mornings still give me those it’s the weeeekend baby, feels! Even though the weekend shenanigans are COMPLETELY different, I still love them. Time with my kids and wife, with an unconstrained mind, we all have this sense of freedom, where anything is possible, we almost give our selves permission to think freely about how we want to spend the next 2 days. For the kids it’s usually centered around some form of takeaway(pizza or McDonald’s) time at the park or beach(all day for both days if possible). For us it’s a later, slower start to the day, and then taking the kids on one of the outings, it’s a nice meal somewhere( not McDonalds), just time together mostly outdoors, involving food and a little bit of wine(or beer). I love that I love weekends, I love the work that I do and how I get to do it, but weekends really give me and my family that feeling that anything is possible. #mindfulliving #wellbeing #fulfillment #livingmybestlife #lifestylefinancialplanning #womeninfinance
