📕 Step 4 (continued): Learn what your cravings are 📕 Sometimes you might have cravings for alcohol. This is a totally normal part of cutting down. Cravings can feel unmanageable, but you can push through them. If you distract yourself, they will go away on their own. You could: 🚶 go for a walk 🎵 listen to music 🍵 make a cup of tea 🧩 do a puzzle Cravings usually last an hour or so at most. Sometimes they only last a few minutes. It may help to think of them as a wave that builds up, peaks and then goes away. For more advice on how to handle cravings, click here: https://lnkd.in/eQ_fsAVK ❗If you think you’re alcohol dependent, it’s important that you don’t stop drinking suddenly, as this could lead to very dangerous alcohol withdrawal complications. ❗ 📱 For support with cutting down your alcohol intake, contact us on 0151 706 7888 or use our Webchat service.

🚨 The Netflix Syndrome! 🚨 Exactly, that's what happens when you're ready to watch something on the platform, but you're not sure what you want. You start browsing through the content with friends, your partner, or your roommate. 7 times out of 10, you end up spending 2 hours searching for the perfect content, and in the end, you don't watch anything because it's already too late. Well, this is very similar to what many artists are experiencing these days. With countless online assets available (models, textures, tutorials, collections, software, AI, courses, social networks), often one gets lost, losing focus on the main goal. ⚡ Creating! Doing things! ⚡ This is how I see AI and everything else today, comparing it to what "wasn't there 15 years ago." There's so much to experiment with and create different options that, in the end, nothing concrete is created. It all stays at "I have this idea..." and only a few really bring it to life. Days and days spent generating variations of a concept that never takes shape, remaining in limbo. After a thousand interactions and variations, there's even doubt about the very idea that led us to work on it. 15 and 10 years ago, I saw artists create things from scratch, projects and artworks that today, with all the knowledge and technology available, the new generation of artists can't replicate or even come close to. Comparing the same starting point ( Software, Knowledge, Hardware etc etc). 💡 "Those artists have inspired me a lot and taught me what it truly means to "do" and compete." 💡 I believe that today, more than in the past, the logic of DOING is a priority. Only in this way can we stand out and be sure of what we're doing and how to improve it. It's essential to consolidate everything we're learning and put technological resources into practice, avoiding the "Netflix Syndrome" for a while!" Enjoy the journey, feel free to share your thoughts! 😊

Loving this example of cognitive reframing and focusing on the thoughts-behaviours link. If you're looking for a new year's resolution, have a quick listen to Padraig below as he gives us a 3 word mantra to help move out of negative comparisons and into gratitude. #cognitivebehavioraltherapy #gratitudepractice
I was back in studio RTE with Cormac Ó hEadhra & Sarah McInerney this week. 🛋️ Have you been finding a sense of satisfaction choosing to stay in when others are going out? Perhaps you are experiencing JOMO (The Joy of Missing Out)? 👋🏻 Or, does social media evoke a sense of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) in you? Seeing the successes of others and feeling envy can be difficult to cope with sometimes. 📻 I discussed methods for #reframing our thoughts when the little green-eyed monster appears in our periphery. 💭 Changing our thoughts can be difficult so I gave them a little exercise to do! Give it a go and let me know how you get on!
