Exploring the impact of biofertilizers on maize silage or meadows reveals potential advancements in milk quality and economic outcomes. This study investigates the relationship between biofertilizer application, forage quality, and economic benefits in dairy farming. This study explores the impact of using biofertilizers on dairy farms in the Po Valley, Italy. Results show that biofertilized maize improved silage quality and increased milk nutrient values, leading to higher milk prices. Switching to biofertilized meadows also boosted milk quality and farm incomes, highlighting the benefits of sustainable farming practices. https://lnkd.in/g-DAvQXp #CropManagement #SustainableAgriculture #Agroecology #CropScience #PlantBreeding

The increasing amount of fresh fruit crops consumption requires all-year round production, however short shelf-lives, various shipping times and conditions make fulfilling the quantity and desired quality of consumers quite a challenge. Many in industry see this challenge as an opportunity for indoor farming to help fill in the gaps to meet consumer demands for fresh and high-quality fruit crops by utilizing vertical farming facilities. Delphy, a global AgTech consultancy organization, is working to develop and increase cultivation knowledge, learning the best suited crop physiology and planting materials for these systems to enhance the efficiency and profitability of indoor farms. In the September episode of OptimIA’s Indoor Ag Science Café series, Laura S. Bautista Jalon, Ph.D. (Delphy, the Netherlands), discussed the research being done at the Delphy Improvement Center to improve strawberries and other fruit crops’ technologies and techniques used in indoor farming. You can view Dr. Bautista’s presentation at https://lnkd.in/gupvpKzR. Indoor Ag Science Café is an outreach program of the OptimIA project, funded by the USDA SCRI grant program. Interested parties can join the free café forums, live or recorded (https://lnkd.in/eEbymRZH). The café forum is designed to serve as a communication platform among scientists and indoor farming professionals. #optimia #controlledenvironmentagriculture #indooragriculture #indoorag #CEA #verticalfarming #indoorfarm

On September, Optimizing Indoor Agriculture -OptimIA gave me the opportunity to share the research we have been conducting on the cultivation of strawberries in indoor/vertical farming. Looking for potential strategies for all-year round production of this fruit, we have explored different cultivation models and evaluated their potential in terms of yield, fruit quality, energy efficiency, etc. If you could not attend the seminar, now you have the opportuny to watch it online in the link below. The research has been funded by Top Sector for Horticulture and Starting Material and supported by our partners Infinite Acres 80 Acres Farms Philips Horticulture LED Solutions Enza Zaden Meteor Systems Wageningen University & Research 2Grow Inholland University of Applied Sciences

📢 We are happy to present on of our portfolio project! Black Soldier Fly farms construction ❇ This project has engineering and research team in the area of development of cutting-edge, fully automated insect protein farms, and exploration of new technologies for waste utilization with cultivated Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae. ♻ Turning organic waste into valuable products using best industrial practices We combine cutting edge information technologies, zootechnical and micro biological expertise to create industrial grade, data driven insect farming systems. ✅ The core activity of our farms is industrial breeding of the Black soldier fly. Its larva is able to recycle organic waste (e.g. spoiled food, vegetables, animal manure, agricultural and food processing waste, low grade grain, spoiled cereals, etc.) which later can be processed into following products: - High-nutritional protein meal. - Organic fertilizer (frass). - Fat. - Aquaculture feed, as a product of second stage processing. 🌟 Feel free to contact us for pilot details #SustainableFarming #InnovativeFeedSolution #FarmingUpgrade #SustainableAgriculture #EnhancedProductivity #BlackSoldierFly #EfficiencyBoost #sustainability #foodwaste #alternativeprotein #foodsecurity #insectprotein #wastemanagement

The symbiotic nature of plants and soil microbes (rhizophagy) is creating a new agricultural paradigm. When we talk about soil health in Regenerative Agriculture, we're really talking about biological and microbiological health these days. (In the past, the focus was chemical.) https://buff.ly/45y3dNN #CRARS #regenerativeagriculture #soilhealth #soilbiology #soilmicrobes #rhizophagy
