Insightful! Do not push people out of Palestine and grab their land for settler expansion! The opposite must be done, provide temporary refuge in a safe zone in Israel for the currently displaced Gazans and let people return after! This way all Hamas military infrastructure in Gaza can be dismantled without causing any further civilian collateral damage. People have to learn to coexist and to go back to the days of Canaan. My, out of the box, personal, vision is to open the Israeli border and to let the forcibly displaced Gazan civilians evacuate to Israel, preventing their further suffering. It means to set up temporary UN peace-force controlled and UNHCR managed refugee camps in Israel. Also for the West Bank there needs to be UN involvement. My idea of a Union of Canaan (www.canaan.community) would mean to dismantle all radicals at both sides, and to start peacebuilding between the moderate parts of the civilian populations. This requires nonviolent interaction as equals, which leads to mutual understanding and empathy. It is the only way to replace fear and hatred by trust and solidarity; realizing sustainability of peace. There is no future for Israel based on the narrative of the radicals at both sides..... everyone who wants to claim the territory exclusively for themselves will only find war, violence and destruction, whereas the moderates hold the key to peace by non-violent interaction and dialog as equals. Practically it means to establish autonomous communities and spread them over the entire territory. The forcibly displaced Gazans can thus live anywhere they want in such communities and return to Gaza after it is rebuilt (it has been bombed uninhabitable for the coming years). These autonomous communities can coexist and come together in a confederation of communities sharing the country. There is space for all cultural identities using this approach. Currently, such scenario seems very far fetched, but, since the Palestinians belong to where they are, and nobody outside is waiting for a Palestinian exodus, the alternative scenario is that Israel will lose worldwide support and may no longer exist in 10 years from now. Indirectly by destroying Gaza, Netanyahu bombed the Jewish state and a two-state solution. www.canaan.community & www.pax.ngo & www.convergence.ngo

It's only been a few weeks, but I'm enjoying learning more about my role at IOM to ensure migrants have access to jobs where their rights are protected. Watch Director General Amy Pope's speech below to hear more about IOM's vision: many countries are facing, and will continue to face labor shortages - and there are currently insufficient opportunities for migrants to to access safe job opportunities through regular pathways. This is a timely discussion! #regularpathways #labormigration #migrantworkers #IOM https://lnkd.in/eXP7Bxtf

I am reaching out to bring attention to a matter of significant concern regarding the provision of Welsh language translation services within public sector organisations in Wales. An independent, privately funded PhD study conducted at Swansea University has shed light on the inefficiencies, unreliability, and daily frustrations experienced by civil servants due to the current state of these services across Wales. Consider this analogy: if one were to generate a request for a service to the public sector, add 20% cost to it in error, and then neglect to rectify the mistake, which is repeated thousands of times, the consequences would undoubtedly be unacceptable. Yet, this scenario mirrors the current situation regarding Welsh language translation services. … and the public are paying for the mistake. Over and over again.
