Caryn has worked both in franchises and for franchisors throughout her 27 year career, providing her a unique perspective on both sides of the franchise system. She has provided support in talent acquisition, training, and Human Resources for over 20 years while simultaneously navigating the ever changing legal landscape that impacts those processes. Caryn carries all of these experiences and understandings into her roles with FranPartners to provide unmatched support for the clients we serve! Beyond her career endeavors, Caryn finds fulfillment serving others and cares deeply about the disabled and special needs families in her community. She is passionate about leveraging business practices to align with her innate desire to serve these groups of people. On a personal level, Caryn lives with her 3 children on a farmette in Maryland where they enjoy tending to their garden, hearing the roosters crow, and raising sheep.

We should talk about Russell Wilson. Today, it was announced that he would be benched for the rest of the season. Less than two years ago, Russ was traded in a mega-deal to the Denver Broncos from the Seattle Seahawks. His time in Denver is probably over. Russ wanted a fresh start, but he also wanted more money, he wanted to be the main star, and he thought he could bring his talents to another franchise and repeat the success he had in his early days as a Seahawk. It didn't work out. Tony Zarsadias once said to me, "Sometimes you can't read the label when you're stuck inside the bottle." Russ had it great in Seattle. He had a fan base that adored him, a coach that protected him, a franchise that supported him, and peers that went to bat for him. Somehow, he didn't see it the same way and thought his value was greater elsewhere. The grass isn't always greener, so take note of your environment and surroundings before you jump to the next opportunity. Be aware of your value and worth, but also be accepting of what more money could bring. New organizations bring new expectations that may leave you wishing you never left.

As soon as I realized my role within the business I attracted a team that handles other elements of the business. Now we do MILLIONS in development, something I wasn’t doing 2.5 years ago.
