The duty-free store adopts a 'walk-through' style, displaying products on both sides of the aisle, covering an area of 2,500 square meters, making it the largest in any Japanese airport. This comes in anticipation of the 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo, kicking off in April, 2025. Wow, I loved this project...🍗🔥 As many of us know, sometimes as an event marketer you have to 'step into' the role of graphic designer/video editor (thank you Canva). I had such a vision for this, but no idea where to even begin executing it. Teasing a panel that nods to such a viral sensation like 'Hot Ones', naturally I wanted to do it justice. A part of me was praying they would release a free version of Sora AI today, so it could do it for me 😂 However that got me thinking, can AI still help? It might not be able to generate the video, but could it at least get me off my feet with this idea? So, I put in a full editors brief into ChatGPT. The panel we were teasing, the release dates, location, style we wanted. I gave it all. I also added that we would need to make this on Canva. This AI spit out a full step by step guide, on how to execute this purely through Canva for me. It gave me a script, it gave me timings for each frame, it gave me recommendations for stock footage, sound effects. I was completely blown away. The thing is, is that though it was super helpful, it still wasn't perfect. It had allowed me to jump start this little video, but I knew we could do more. For example, I wanted the neon signage at the end, but also wanted to give it that 'flicker' like you see on the show. I asked my colleague GPT to help, and in seconds it gave me a step by step guide, on exactly where I could find that style and how I could animate every frame effectively to achieve what I wanted, as a sort of 'Canva work around'. It's actually blown my mind. But, it's also reassured me. Even with AI's new capabilities, we will always rely on people to bring their own creativity to a project. There was so much it helped me to execute, but the ideas were still my own. And I love that. AI continues to be a HOT topic, so I hope to keep the conversation going at our ELX Annual Congress this year... Can't wait to see all our members again in Las Vegas soon! 👀☀️ P.S. THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2024 was an astounding triumph, breaking attendance records and exceeding all expectations! With 85,850 visitors from 131 countries/regions, we witnessed a significant leap from last year’s 78,764. Even more impressive, we saw a 22% surge in international visitors! The global allure of THAIFEX – Anuga Asia was evident this year from 3,133 exhibitors from 52 countries/regions showcasing the latest innovations in the F&B industry. Outstandingly, 2,034 of these exhibitors were international, and with international pavilions expanding their presence, the total international exhibition space saw a notable 12% increase from last year!
