Happy Autumnal Equinox! This new season represents abundance, harvest, and change. 🍂 For farmers, the autumnal equinox is a time to celebrate the harvest. They have worked hard all year to grow their crops, and now they are finally ready to be picked. The autumn equinox is also a time to start preparing for the winter. Farmers need to store their food and supplies so that they have enough to get through the cold months. Like a farmer, you can use this time to celebrate your wins, reflect on your lessons, and prepare for the future. Share in the comments below. What are the wins and lessons you’ve learned last season? What are the goals you have for autumn? 🍁 #autumnalequinox #fall #blackfarmers #blackfoodbusiness #harvest #abundance #seasonschange #reflection

The future of Britain’s bees hangs in the balance. Over the last few decades, we’ve lost 97% of our wildflower meadows. [1] Our bee's food supply is starting to run out. And if they’ve got less food, there’ll be fewer bees to pollinate our crops - which means we’ll have less food too. [2] But that's where you come in : Evidence shows that planting bee-friendly flowers in our gardens could be the key to saving our bees. [3] And if tens of thousands of us come together, we could plant enough flowers to make sure that our bees have the food that they need to thrive this spring. So, will you sign up now to get your very own packet of seeds to plant this spring - and chip in for others to get a packet too if you can? ▶️ Seeds will be limited to one packet per person, to make sure that as many people as possible can take part. https://lnkd.in/eXDRBB3A

What Is Caviar? Did you know that caviar is a delicacy that requires a unique harvesting process? It's not as simple as it seems. Sturgeon, the primary source of caviar, don't have ovaries like most fish. To harvest the precious eggs, the sturgeon must be carefully sliced open, the eggs removed, and then the fish is sutured back up, allowing it to grow more eggs for future harvests. Share this video if you learned something new about caviar production today! #CaviarProduction #SturgeonFacts #AquacultureEducation

We don’t want you to worry about your harvest this season. Even though this is a critical aspect of groundnut production, here are some points to consider … • Begin lifting groundnuts when 40 to 50 % of the pods have matured. • The harvesting process includes loosening, lifting, wilting, cocking (curing), picking and finally shelling. • Groundnuts must be dry before placing in a storehouse … it is best to store groundnuts in their shells. If you have a concern about your Groundnut crop this season, we are here to help. Comment your question in the comment section and we will find the best answer for your problem! Leave your worries to us this harvesting season! #harvestworries #wehavetheanswers #groundnuts

#farmland #water = varieties performance just a quick update and maybe some guidance on what to look for in your #soil and #waterstructure this big horse ranch, is also an active hay farm and pasture land for horses, cows, chicken and sheep. @greencell.farms is now growing #food #fruit #woodyplants and #hemp here and are using the #natural soil, the composted manure and well water that collects from the entire property. germination has been amazing! transplants have worked and what we’ve found is a lot of the success to make everything #GREEN is the water high in nitrogen because of the hay and animal existence. if you can get water from a local ranch, you might be able to save soooo much on nutrients.. if you can get soil and or compost from a ranch you should get really good performance. we’re all in a different context: zone, climate, environmental conditions so try what works best for you but keep in mind it’ll always be better to support your #localfarmer
