No matter how hard i try, can’t disagree with this statement. System created by people with malice in their mind will eventually drain system out of talent & will only have “yes sir” kind of crowd left behind. As individuals we all like agreement but as a leader one should look for disagreements so that you can fine tune your strategy. But we are so engrossed in growth that we overlook system that we are creating or values we are inculcating. We realise this only when its too late & people have moved on. A bad system initially defeats good people but later succumbs to itself. "In a world where talent and integrity matter, it's disheartening to see good people held back by flawed systems. Let's strive to build equitable structures where merit truly shines, because a bad system will always overshadow even the most exceptional individuals."

Pivot Point: In the face of rising challenges to diversity, equity and inclusion, we must not give up the fight for justice and fairness. DEI is a lens that will be increasingly useful for achieving a more just society. We are "just" people, let's learn to deal with each other as we are.

T.E. Lawrence was effective in a very challenging situation when he chose to defy convention by integrating into Bedouin culture. His simple step of changing his clothes and sitting on the ground led to transformative outcomes that changed history. British officers at that time did NOT usually assume indigenous garb. When Lawrence exchanged his khaki uniform trousers and jacket for Bedouin robes, he established trust and rapport with his allies. This was a radical act for a British officer at the time, and initially, he suffered outrage and derision from his peers and superiors. In time, his resounding success where others had failed led to respect, as Lawrence's integration with the Bedouin guerilla fighters produced profound results. Their partnership transformed history, and all this was predicated by his willingness to integrate with another culture. When we practice inclusion within diversity, we not only build a better world, but doors open and opportunities present themselves than if we had chosen to be exclusive. Classic and tactical empathy are both key modes of operating that always produce good results and build unity between individuals and organizations. When faced with the prospect of partnership with another team from a different culture, your success rate increases exponentially with the level you are willing to integrate with others outside of your comfort zone. Collaboration occurs best on common ground, but common ground doesn't give itself up without personal sacrifice, especially in the realm of ego. Our ability to receive is matched by our willingness to give. A little sacrifice from both sides will often lead to synergy and breakthrough progress. #TELawrence #7pillars #inclusion #diversity #leadership #integration #empathy #tacticalempathy

C12 Chair | Equipping CEOs & Owners to Build Great Businesses For A Greater Purpose in Waco & Dallas
There are so many definitions for and uses of the concept of "diversity" in business. Sometimes, we react negatively to how others attempt to impose their definitions on us as Christian CEOs and Business Owners. It is easy to be defensive and reject the overall notion of diversity. However, it is possible to reclaim God's view of diversity and apply it to our businesses. We will talk about that in our C12 North Texas business forums this month. We will challenge each other to understand the competing definitions. More importantly, we will discuss practical, proactive steps to value people with different backgrounds, talents, and perspectives in our businesses. We don't shy away from tough topics in C12. If you want a place to discuss them and how they apply to you, join us. We love guests. Ever heard about Harriet Tubman? She wasn't just a historical figure; she was a force of nature. Picture this: Harriet, leading folks to freedom on the Underground Railroad. Now, let's fast forward and think about our journey for justice and inclusion in the job market. 🌐 Today's Struggle: Yep, it's real. But Harriet's story tells us that change is possible, even when the road seems tough. 🔍 Leadership Nuggets: Harriet Tubman wasn't just a guide; she was a leader standing against racism. How can we channel her courage in our own roles? 💼 At Work: Harriet's journey inspires me to shake things up, question biases, and actively contribute to an inclusive job market. 🤝 Embracing Differences: Just like Harriet embraced diversity, let's champion a workplace where different voices are not just heard but celebrated. 🔗 Past and Present: Harriet's legacy isn't gathering dust in history books. It's a call to action. Let's honor her by challenging norms, fostering inclusion, and building a future where everyone can shine. Together, we can lead change. Let's be leaders who stand against racism and work towards a workplace that celebrates every individual. #HarrietTubman #BlackHistoryMonth #BlackLivesMatter

Learning this framework in the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI): Foundations and Principles was transformational knowledge for me. You can imagine looking at this model how surface-level our perception of others' personalities might be, and how reducing bias across all dimensions of identity creates the most authentic environments. https://lnkd.in/gRfEf_hU
