This one was interesting. I had forgotten I had actually started this a few months back before I took a break from CTF's to work on some other projects. Luckily I had taken good notes for myself and was about one step away from completing it when I took a break. What do you consider when rating the challenges after submitting a flag? For me I think of them as very personal, and this one was pretty quick to solve, but if I didn't have some of the skills I'd developed in my initial challenge to complete all of the mobile labs on #hackthebox I'd have probably found it as challenging as some of the similar mobile challenges. I think medium is fair, which it is rated, and easy if you have experience in mobile security. #mobilesecurity #hacktheplanet #android

Hey everyone! I just completed Intro to LAN TryHackMe Lab During the lab journey, I learned about 1. Various network topologies (Star, Bus, Mesh etc.) how they work, what are their pros and cons 2. Subnetting - How can we divide the single network into multiple networks 3. ARP Protocol - ARP Request, ARP Reply, the need to bind a logical address (IP Address) to a physical address (MAC Address) 4. DHCP Server - The process of assigning IP Address to devices in a network. All thanks to Sadiya B. and Slytherin EduTech Pvt. Ltd. for guiding on the same.

The 2nd part of our xz backdoor incident reveals a dual-layered strategy employed by the attackers which combined social-engineering and sophisticated technical exploitation, in order to breach XZ Utils' integrity. In our report, we detailed how allegedly fictitious identities, notably the central figure Jia Tan, were crafted (which including seemingly benign technical contributions) all in order to gain the trust of XZ Utils' lead maintainer.
