We have officially hit party season in Australia as of today Whether or not you are personally aligned with these events A big chunk of the population is and its tools down We start with Cup week, which wreaks havoc being a mid-weeker Then we move onto Christmas Party shenanigans, party after party Bring in the actual festive break next & the office is down to skeleton staff And then the wrap up of party central is usually the Australia Day mark That is 12 weeks of distraction and disruption to your work force It is 3 months of summer fun, before it is business as usual again For most, we still have to deliver and be as present as ever during this time As come in to the new year, around February You will be sitting down with you boss to chin wag about the wins The don't call it the silly season for nuttin' So, here is what I am going to do to stay focussed whilst crawling to the finish line 1️⃣ What can I let go of that isn't crucial so I can focus on the main deliverables 2️⃣ I must prioritise self-care whilst managing my responsibilities - work and personal 3️⃣ What are my top 5 priorities? Matthew 26:38 poignantly captures this moment of vulnerability when Jesus, overwhelmed by sorrow, seeks companionship and support from His disciples. His plea, "Stay here and keep watch with me," underscores the importance of reaching out for assistance during times of emotional turmoil.
