🚀 We are excited to announce that the #FDA approved an Early Feasibility Study (#EFS) for Medinol's innovative IoNIR Drug-eluting Hybrid Scaffold. The IoNIR is a hybrid coronary DES that combines a spiral CoCr construction containing no lengthwise connectors with an abluminal electrospun bioresorbable polymer which provides longitudinal support and drug elution. The IoNIR FIH IonMAN clinical study was prospective, multi-center, single arm, open label clinical trial: enrollment completed, with 60 Patients, 4 Sites - in Brazil and Israel. Primary Endpoints: 1. In-stent Late Loss at 13 months 2. Treating low-risk patients with transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) instead of surgery is associated with significant cost savings, according to new data presented at Cardiovascular Research Technologies (CRT) 2024 in Washington, D.C. CRT is an annual gathering of some of the world’s biggest names in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease. Medtronic shared data from two new TAVR studies at the four-day event. Both Medtronic studies were based on data from the Evolut Low Risk Trial, an ongoing analysis of low-risk patients treated with either TAVR with an Evolut valve or surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR). Four-year findings from the trial were presented at TCT 2023 in San Francisco and published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.[1] Overall, TAVR was associated with a higher survival rate than SAVR in addition to improved hemodynamics.
