We have released our 2023 Annual Report, a look back at the innovative developments and accomplishments throughout the year that allowed the health system to expand and evolve while increasing convenience and improving care. The report covers a wide variety of inventive programs that were implemented last year to improve the patient, employee, and visitor experience. These include opening Cayuga Park, a new 5-story medical office building on the waterfront; a unique new relationship with Schuyler Emergency Medical Services; and a partnership with Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services, which extends the integrated approach to care in our community. The Annual Report also highlights donor, patient and staff impacts. One poignant story tells the story behind a multi-year $1 million philanthropic commitment by Thomas Seaman to the Cayuga Cancer Center in loving memory of his wife, Jean Seaman. Another relays comprehensive, close-to-home treatment Watkins Glen-based Michael Bartone received for his non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma within the Cayuga Health System. Read at cayugahealthmagazine.org

#NationalBreastCancerAwarenessMonth Breast cancer is a reality for 1 in 8 women in the U.S., making it the most common cancer among women worldwide, according to a 2023 report by the American Cancer Society. A woman is diagnosed with breast cancer in the U.S. every two minutes. As you read this, someone is hearing their results and starting their cancer journey. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death for women. But there's hope on the horizon. Over the last decade, we've seen a 7% decrease in breast cancer mortality rates due to early detection and treatment advances. These are not just numbers. They represent our mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends. As leaders in the financial sector, we are uniquely positioned to contribute. We can make a difference by: 🎀 Donating to organizations that fund critical research, awareness campaigns, or support services, such as Northwest Hope & Healing who provides immediate financial assistance for current breast or gynecologic cancer patientshttps://lnkd.in/gYwZz2tH 🎀 Participating in fundraising events like charity runs, walks, or rides that raise funds for breast cancer research and care. 🎀 Volunteering at local breast cancer clinics, organizations, or events. This month, don't just wear pink ribbons. Let's all do something! What plans do you have to support #NationalBreastCancerAwareness month? #MakeADifference #SupportTheFight

Men’s health is in crisis. Men are dying on average 4.5 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons. A growing number of men – around 10.8M globally – are facing life with a prostate cancer diagnosis. Globally, testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young men. And across the world, one man dies by suicide every minute of every day, with males accounting for 69% of all suicides. Movember is uniquely placed to address this crisis on a global scale. We fund groundbreaking projects all over the world, engaging men where they are to understand what works best and accelerate change. Support my efforts again in 2023 and change the face of Men’s Health forever. Since 2008 I have raised a staggering $ 595,937 till date individually ( https://lnkd.in/ggGt4ZVV $806,709.15 as the MOV~ing Mackay Cricket Club since 2011(https://lnkd.in/gWNFd_J) as of the 3rd of October 2023
