This side event is organized by members of professional civil society engaged in the OEGH coalition and representatives of member states. The focus will be discussion around the proposal to create a multicenter “One Sustainable Health Institute” initiated by Europe with a vocation to serve as an example for other major world regions. The side event will touch upon the creation of this entity to serve as a reference resource for fostering a coherent and comprehensive integrated approach, to achieve sustainable health outcomes for all, leveraging interconnections between Human Health, Animal Health, and the environment (Planetary Health). I am excited about my new role! Myself and Devin Nickol, a colleague from Nebraska, are the Co-Convenors for the American Interprofessional Health Collaborative (AIHC). The AIHC community of practice recently reorganized its structure to embody a collaborative approach. Some changes in the structure included: ✔ Instead of using the term President, we are using Convenor. ✔ Instead of single individual leading the organization, we will work together with the Collaboration Hub. ✔ The Collaboration Hub includes representation from Collaboratives/Committees, community members, health professional students, and the National Center. ✔New processes will minimize traditional hierarchies that are barriers to transformation and efficient work. We are walking the collaboration talk with a vision of transforming health through interprofessional collaborations bridging practice and education. #collaboration #joinus #interprofessional

Do you ever wish you could go back and give a better answer? That happened to me today. During my presentation, I stumbled a bit when asked about our partnership with food banks. I realized later how I could have prepared better for that question. Here’s the response I wish I had given: Eleven years ago, I spoke with the CEO of a food bank who said, "We need to work on shortening the line," meaning we should focus on solutions that reduce people's need for food banks. Fast forward to today, the line has only grown longer. We're losing agricultural land at alarming rates, and Texas has become one of the most food-insecure states in the nation. While food banks are crucial in addressing immediate hunger, we must also pursue long-term strategies and collaborate across multiple sectors to truly shorten that line. Food banks alone cannot solve this complex issue. We need to support them while working on sustainable solutions that address the root causes of food insecurity. Thank goodness for social media. I second what you have highlighted Prof. Ayman: The core of value-based care eventually is effective and high clinical outcomes, Safe care, and patient experience throughout the continuum of care and the Patient journey, which will have a direct impact and relation to patient loyalty and trust and justify the cost of the provided services.

#CalAIM implementation is happening locally, with counties playing a central role.
