I could not find any other apt weekly post than on our Team INDIA winning the World Cup. What makes it more special is that it was almost on the verge of losing, has come after gutting loss in Final 6 months ago and has come after years of wait for the trophy !! Congratulations to the entire nation !! This was a true finale and an epic match, where till last over the winner could not be decided. Like many of you I stayed up late. And watched the match completely! And, glad I did!! What a performance! Now let’s come to the lessons for all of us :- - "Stay in the GAME" : At one point it looked like India was going to lose. But, 1 good over from Bumrah (16th) changed things, offcourse backed up well by Pandya and Arshdeep ! - it works this way in all spheres of life. Never give up and keep putting efforts. - The power of team work : this was an different INDIAN team where team was above individuals and everyone played as a team. So let’s embrace the team, collaboration is the key. - Resilience in the face of adversity - Overcoming obstacles is the key to achieving goals. - Prepare well : Time spent preparing is more important than execution. The team really did well on that front having great bowling, batting and fielding. That’s true to life as well where we can plan in advance to get better results. - Adaptability and Flexibility : Being adaptable and flexible becomes even more important when faced with big challenges. As shown by Rohit to bring Bumrah in 16th over(rather than usual 18th) because he realised that’s it’s now or never. - Mental Toughness : Mental ability is as integral as the physical ability. This team might have lost 6 months back but this time they were more eager and hungry to win. Showcases how important is it to be mentally tough. - Continious Improvement : Always strive to improve the skill sets, learning from past mistakes and offcourse not to repeat the same mistakes.
