🌈 Happy Pride Everyone! A few reminders: 🌈 PRIDE was a protest, a riot, a rebellion. There is no PRIDE without freedom, no freedom without liberation and we aren't free until we all are free. 🍉 🌈 . . "The #LGBTQ+ community in the US today comprises nearly 14 million adults and is growing rapidly. This growth is due in large part to the fact that Gen Z (i.e., people born between 1997 and 2012) are six times more likely than their Gen X counterparts to identify as LGBTQ+. With Gen Z set to become 30% of the workforce by the year 2030, employers should deepen their focus on LGBTQ+ inclusion, visibility and engagement through robust commitments, communications, programming and other action-oriented initiatives." I encourage you all to review this study below. https://lnkd.in/ebfSHWzk #pride #lgbt2024 #happypride #queersatwork #lgbtworkforce

This month marks the start of Pride Month. I believe everyone deserves love and acceptance, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. As an LGBTQ+ ally, I stand with the community in celebrating diversity and advocating for equality. 🏳️🌈 Let's use this month to uplift and amplify the voices of the LGBTQ+ community. Celebrate their contributions and strive to create an inclusive world where everyone can be authentic without fear or discrimination. Being vocal allies, advocating for equal rights, and educating ourselves on issues facing the community are crucial steps we can take. 🌈 Companies can show support by implementing inclusive policies and fostering a safe work environment for LGBTQ+ employees. This not only attracts diverse talent but also cultivates a positive company culture. While progress has been made, we must acknowledge there is still work to be done to combat discrimination and prejudice. 🌟 On LinkedIn, diversity and inclusion are promoted through initiatives like adding gender identity and sexual orientation options on profiles and supporting LGBTQ+ professionals. Let's continue to push for progress towards equality and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community this Pride Month. #Pride2024 #Pride #LGBTQ #DEI #Inclusion #EveryoneDeservesLove

June marks the start of Pride Month and Pride is more than just a celebration—it's a call to action for advancing LGBTQ+ equality! Here’s a reminder of some action Leaders can take to support LGBTQ+ colleagues: 🌈 Sponsorship and Reverse Mentoring Career progression often hinges on sponsorship. Unfortunately, LGBTQ+ employees, especially trans individuals, are less likely to have sponsors/mentors. So seek out high-potential LGBTQ+ talent and leverage your influence to support their success. In turn, you will gain fresh perspectives and grow knowledge about challenges facing LGBTQ+ colleagues. 🌈 Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) Set up or join your company's LGBTQ+ ERG and see how you can help. Whether as an Executive Sponsor or an active ally, your involvement can drive meaningful change and provide a safe space for important discussions and celebrations. We will be proudly sharing what our Coalition Strategic Partners and Members are doing throughout the month to learn, celebrate and champion inclusivity in their working environment. Happy Pride! #BuiltOnBetter #Pride #LGBTQ+ #Equality #Allyship #DiversityAndInclusion

The LGBTQ+ community in the US currently accounts for nearly 14 million adults and is growing — largely due to Gen Z, a generation 6x more likely than Gen X to identify as LGBTQ+. Notably, they are expected to make up 30% of the workforce by 2030. Businesses globally should significantly evolve their commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion, visibility, and engagement with a clear focus on fostering a sense of psychological safety and belonging within their organizations. The findings of the 2024 EY US LGBTQ+ Workplace Barometer further demonstrate the need to better address the requirements of the growing Gen Z LGBTQ+ workforce. Kudos to my EY US colleagues for this thought-provoking research. https://lnkd.in/e8-yTXF2 Mitch Berlin #ProudToBelong #Inclusion #Belonging #BetterWorkingWorld
