🎙️ GPI's Matt Fry and Ryan Kammer joined Carbon Capture Magazine's podcast to discuss a recently released report on the co-benefits of carbon capture systems in removing pollutants and reducing health impacts. "Carbon capture is more than just a climate solution. It can also improve air quality around various sources in both industry and power," Ryan said in the episode. "You're also improving the air quality for both the area around the facility, but also across the country and across regions as air travels." The analysis, done by GPI and Carbon Solutions, concluded that installing technologies designed to capture carbon dioxide emissions from industrial and power facilities has the potential to result in billions of dollars of annual health benefits nationwide. Isn't it fascinating how much the letters 'EV' have become so prominent in our lives? As a native Detroiter and someone who has a love for vehicles, I could not have imagined that electric vehicles would have made the impact that they have, present day. With the elevation of anything - like EV - it is necessary to provide support, tools and leaders to take it even further. I can't think of a better clean energy technology partner than Natalie King to be one of these key leaders. In this special edition podcast episode, we dive into a great conversation around the start of DUNAMIS CLEAN ENERGY PARTNERS, LLC and their focus on energy efficiency and environmental service solutions. We explored her journey of transitioning from corporate counsel to entrepreneur, some of the mistakes that she made along the way and what's next on the journey. Don't miss out on this exciting, inspiring and action-filled episode. Check out the latest from The Power Hungry Podcast with Ken Giardin. Ken is an engineer who has been researching and writing about energy policy issues in New York for over a decade. In this episode, Ken talks about his new report for the Empire Center, Green Guardrails, which found that the state’s Climate Act could cost taxpayers $4.9 trillion by 2050, the soaring cost of the offshore wind projects, land-use conflicts, and the “absolutism” that is driving much of the state’s climate policy. #electricity #nyc #newyork #climate #climatechange #alternativeenergy #greenenergy https://lnkd.in/gYJr-hJS

Happy April Fool's Day! But it's no joke that the need to decarbonize is greater than ever. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), the transportation sector accounts for 37% of carbon emissions and has the highest reliance on fossil fuels. Decarbonizing vehicles is needed to reach our climate goals. In this week's EnVisioneering Exchange #podcast, "The Future of Electric Vehicles," Danfoss' Kimmo Rauma discusses the current barriers to electric vehicle adoption and the policies and infrastructure needed to implement electric vehicles on a large scale. https://bit.ly/4adRk0Y #decarbonization #electrification #EV
