Regional Head | Driving Success Through Strategic Marketing & Sales | Catalyst for Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving
🔒 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼𝗻'𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 🚧🤔 🏰 In a world where progress and innovation drive us forward, it's important to pause and reflect on the wisdom of Chesterton's fence. This reminds us not to hastily dismantle something without understanding its purpose. 🛡️ Whether it's an old institution, a longstanding policy, or a metaphorical fence, they weren't created by chance. ⏳ They were built with intent and careful consideration. 🤝 Let's resist the temptation to discard the old in favor of the new simply because we assume we know better. 🧠 Instead, let's take the time to understand and appreciate the reasons behind their existence. Only then can we make informed decisions about their relevance in the present. 🚀 So, before we rush to dismantle, let's first explore and comprehend the "why" behind the "what." 🤓 By doing so, we can ensure that progress is built on a strong foundation of understanding and respect. #ChestertonsFence #UnderstandingHistory #RespectThePast #WisdomofthePast #ProgressWithPurpose #linkedinlearning #Linkedin #secondorderthinking #decisionmaking #innovation #changemanagement

🎤Oliver Anthony (Christopher Anthony Lunsford) lives just up the street from me ... he's been an overnight sensation! 💡There's something going on when one man can galvanize so many people ... 🎸He strikes a chord (pardon the pun) and has rocked us to the core ... 🎶Around here, we can all relate to the "Rich Men North of Richmond" and Oliver Anthony's message. 🤗He wants people to appreciate others - our similarities, no more division. 🪟Oliver Anthony has opened the window into the lives and feelings of millions of people who we rarely hear from. 👂🏻I am listening. The world is listening. 👏🏼We are tight around here in this small town, we look out after each other, promote the successes, mourn the losses, know each other by name, build relationships, and just plain be kind at every encounter we have with each other - there is no thought about our differences, it's about our inclusivity for something bigger than ourselves ... 💪🏼It's about working hard and doing the right thing for a better tomorrow ... 🙏It's about doing God's work and loving - each one of His children - for people like me and people like you ... 👉We work hard with integrity and bring value to everything we touch, otherwise, what's it all worth? 👍🏼And yes, I am an old soul. 🤔hmmmm, I’d really like to know … ❓What do you think of Oliver Anthony's #1 hit "Rich Men North of Richmond"? ❓Why do you think it resonates with millions of hard working Americans? 🗯️I'd love to know your thoughts/perspectives ... #hardworkingpeople #similarities #listening #buildrelationships #inclusivity #godswork #integrity #values #usa #peoplematter #hr #business #oliveranthony #richmennorthofrichmond

“You can tek us out of Bradford, but you can’t tek the Bradford out of us.” As I start my Place Branding studies in what goes for my spare time over the next 2 years, I can’t resist applying my learning to the place where my own identity is rooted -albeit shallowly. Bradford also has a busy two years ahead as it prepares to be in the spotlight as Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture. In searching around for what the City of Culture status can offer its residents and perhaps help solidify “brand Bradford”, I came across this celebratory video narrated in her own words by local poet and educator Kirsty Taylor. I find the vídeo refreshing for capturing something of a warts and all perspective that rings true for what I know of the city’s self-identity and external image. It makes a bold, early contribution as part of the official build-up to 2025. The video’s premise that we carry our hometown identity with us, is true for many cities. We can also in part be personally pre-judged by a place’s popularised image. In the build-up to 2025, I’ll be watching for how this fleeting 12 months can contribute to creating a unifying brand for the city that captures its authentic identity and perhaps updates its external image in a lasting way. As the Bradford Council’s imaginative Cultural Strategy expresses it, “Part of what we’re doing with Bradford 2025 is to make sure when we ‘speak Bradford’ to the wider world, it feels like the Bradford people actually live in”. #bradford #westyorkshire #citycentre #cities #placebranding #placemaking #culture #heritage #cityofculture

Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall on how public spaces are the solution to one of our nation's biggest challenges: "The biggest challenge that we face as Americans right now is that too many of us believe that we have nothing in common with half of the country. I think that is one of the most destructive paths we can take as a nation. And when we share things with people that we don’t know, but who live here in our community, we have a better opportunity and a likelihood of caring about people who see the world differently...Our public spaces are one of the best opportunities to do that, and cities are where it is going to happen. "Cities are part of the solution to what I think our country needs right now. Because we need to share more. [When] you have a beautiful little park outside of your house that you cross the street and you can get a cup of coffee…you’re going to love your community more when you have those spaces. You’re going to care about people more. "It may sound too hard of a reach, but I think it’s very real, it’s tangible and it’s helping." #CivicCommonsUS #publicspace #solution #cities #publiclife #diversity #planning #connection #isolation #united Listen to her interview here: https://lnkd.in/ghQvzzye
