It’s with immense pride that I share this news - if you know my family, you know Medacist is our sixth family member, every past and present employee included. I’d like to congratulations the entire Medacist team on the start of their next chapter!
Moreover, a huge congratulations to my parents who have dedicated the last 25+ years to building the most successful out-come driven drug diversion analytics reporting platform in the industry. You are both remarkable, tremendous examples of sacrifice, grit, dedication, and perseverance — the only duo I know who could have taken this company to where it is today.
My siblings and I quite literally grew up beside this company. We played within the four walls of its first brick & mortar as children, we learned from the individuals who transitioned in and out, we spent weeknight evenings in front of the television helping my parents stuff envelopes with invoices as elementary aged children, and left notes on conference room whiteboards. We landscaped as a family outside on weekends, we stole snacks from the lunch room when we’d visit after school, we unintentionally caused chaos outside of conference rooms during meetings on more than one occasion, we learned about the lives of the people who worked within the walls of every location Medacist has resided in, and it is here that we developed a special and unique understanding of ‘family’. It is without contest that Medacist, as it grew and evolved over the last two and a half decades, helped shape my siblings and I into the adults we are today.
The magnitude of this company’s impact on our nation’s healthcare systems is too immense to put to words and it is all a result of my Dad. My Dad - the guy who taught me how to blow a gum bubble on the ride home from dance class, who got suckered into adopting 2 dogs by way of my 10yr old tears, who sacrificed comfortable sleeps at home for snoozes in a desk chair as he worked to develop RxAuditor’s patented technology after work hours. My dad risked everything 25 years ago when he embarked on his journey to developing the RxAuditor solution, the driving force behind this business and what became our nation’s leading drug diversion solution. I will never forget my innocent answer to what my Dad did for a living — “he audits doctors and nurses stealing controlled narcotics from hospital pharmacies” — I didn’t know what the words meant, but I knew he was to a certain degree, saving lives. My siblings and I shared that innocent perspective of our Dad and that will remain special to us, forever — he will always be our Dad who saved lives that didn’t know they needed saving by way of advanced analytic technology.
While my family closes this chapter, we do so knowing full well the labor of love that has gone into growing this business’ legacy over the last 25 years. Hats off! Onto the next.
Bluesight has a tough act to follow.
Today, we announce the next chapter in the Medacist journey as we join Bluesight, with a shared vision to create a safer and healthier tomorrow. https://bit.ly/3rybEZz
