Some old but we think important tips to include in your CV for Sales Roles 👉 Put your figures on there, not just % of target and don't make it up, any decent Sales Leader will want to take a deep dive into the numbers and you be caught out. 👉 Don't say 'we' did this, 'we' did that, it suggests you weren't responsible, it should be all about you. 'I' did this... 👉 Add a reason for leaving, it removes any potential doubt over short tenures and be honest about it. 👉 Briefly explain what the product/solution was for each role and who you sold it to. Don't expect the hirer to know, or have to research online 👉 Remove all photos ! 👉 Make sure your LinkedIn profile matches your CV ! (You will be amazed how often this isn't the case) 👉 Before even sending the CV and going through the application process, try using your sales ability to get a meeting After all, it's what you do for a living, right ? Can you think of anything else? Let us know below. #saassales #saastalent #recruitment

The truth is, breaking into sales nowadays isn’t for the faint of heart. Between endless applicants and cutthroat competition, it’s a jungle out there. Quick pro tip for those looking for entry-sales roles. Do these three basic things every time, and you will stand out from the field. 1) Research the company and people you will interview with and take notes. This will help you form intelligent questions and demonstrate that you put the effort in before the meeting. 2) Write down your questions about the company and role you'll be interviewing for. This is number one for me; asking great questions is fundamental for any sales role. 3) Send a thank you email to every person you interviewed within 24 hours of the meeting. Do not send a group email. Personalize and send individual emails highlighting the conversation and reiteration why you are a great candidate. Bonus - send a cover letter when applying for a role. No one sends cover letters anymore, so this will distinguish you big time. It's a competitive job market, and this is the baseline, but it will distinguish you from the field. Good luck! #sales #jobhunt #interviewing

When it comes to recruiting, hiring for sales is different than hiring for any other position. Sales positions require soft skills that are hard to vet out by just looking at a resume. It takes a lot more time, intentionality, and strategy to vet out the skills that aren’t ‘measurable’ but are necessary to ensure someone is a good fit for the role. A resume never tells the whole story, sometimes the candidates that aren’t a fit on paper are actually best suited for the role.

Sales Interview Pro Tip: If you're job-seeking and want to get a sales recruiter's attention, put your achievements on your LinkedIn profile, not just your resume. Include quotas, % performance against quota, any notable awards/recognitions (Prez Club, Quarterly Top Achiever, Rookie of the Quarter/Year, Top sales person on the team/region, etc.) DON'T copy paste the company's "about us" into the text space you're given. Use that space as an opportunity to tell recruiters about the impact you've made. (Hot take: I prefer LinkedIn profiles to resumes. Change my mind.) #themoreyouknow #salesrecruiting #salesinterviewprotip

People connector. Mentor. Extroverted introvert. Writer. Currently seeking employment opportunities. I'm interested in connecting with thoughtful people who are here on LinkedIn for more than just self-promotion.
#Candidates, every so often when you're applying for a position, you may be offered a question like: Summarize your experience as it relates to this position. Under no circumstance is the correct answer ever "See resume." That answer is a signal to the recruiter that you either have no related experience, or you're too lazy to take the time to sell yourself. This is a softball pitch. The recruiter is giving you a chance to tell them exactly why you think you're a good fit. Even if you're not a fit, you need to go out swinging! Offer your best sales pitch in a short paragraph. If you can't, you shouldn't have applied for the job.

How many job leads have you communicated with today? There’s a common principle among sales executives that you might know. If not, you need to know it... The rule of seven. The gist: It takes an average of seven interactions to make a sale. An executive job hunt is no different. You may have to make several interactions before you’re finally hired. So here’s the million-dollar question… Are you following up with employers, leads, recruiters, and network contacts? Furthermore, are you following up regularly? If the answer is no or you’re just not sure, consider creating a system that reminds you to follow up with your contacts periodically. You can set follow-up reminders in your favorite app to remind yourself. And if you feel like you’re being a pest by following up, get over it. You have something to offer a company — and it’s your job to make sure they know it. The moral of this story is simple: Don’t give up too soon. Otherwise, you’ll probably miss out on great job opportunities. When they strike, is your executive resume in fighting form? Not just acceptable, but ready-to-win-in-this-ultracompetitve-market form? If 60 minutes of free resume help + networking with hundreds of other execs sounds like a good idea, then come to our next live, executive resume design event. It’s on Tuesday, August 8 at 12 Noon ET. 📆 Make room in your calendar, as it won’t be recorded. Plus, you can’t network with a recording — depriving you of a valuable interaction opportunity. You know your mission: Get—and keep—the contact flowing. Hold your spot for the event here: https://lnkd.in/ecURgj_U See you there! 🙌 #resume #executiveresume #jobsearch #hiringandpromotion #leadership

Quick tip 💸 - Imagine this on your CV: "Exceeded sales quotas for 3 consecutive years." Now imagine this: "Exceeded sales quotas for 3 consecutive years by 30%, 40%, and 50%, respectively." 🚀 More Context = More Impact! Context makes all the difference, without it, you sound like everybody else. More examples: "Developed marketing campaigns resulting in a 25% increase in brand awareness within the target demographic." ❌ "Implemented a new customer service process that reduced response times by 50%, leading to a 15% increase in customer satisfaction." ✅ Work smarter, not harder! 😇 That's how you stand out. #interview #tips #sales #marketing #interviews #prep #CV #jobs #career #coach
