He is never too busy to explain a benefit or a process. 🏆 Celebrating Team Success 🏆 I'm thrilled to share some exciting news from our team! In August 2023, we achieved a significant milestone in the Inside Sales module, contributing 1 lakh WRPS Every week (Widget Revenue Performance Score). 🚀 Our journey to success was guided by a few key principles: 1️⃣ Weekly Motivation Meetings: We gathered every Day to uplift and inspire our team. Just 30 minutes of these sessions worked wonders in boosting morale. 2️⃣ Recognizing Excellence: We reminded ourselves of our past achievements, instilling confidence in our ability to reach new heights. 3️⃣ Aim Higher: We learned that setting targets slightly beyond our reach led us to surpass our goals. We aimed for 1.2 lakh WRPS, and even if we fell short, we still hit our target. Maintaining a consistent booking pace was vital, but we took it a step further by ensuring the "right product to the right customer at the right price point." This strategic shift turned potential demos into successful conversions. 💼💰 As we celebrate this achievement, let's remember that records are meant to be broken. My quota in my third quarter as an AE was $50,000. On the last day of the quarter, I was stuck at $0. It'd be pretty cool to tell you how I pulled in a big deal to save my quarter and never missed again, but that's not my story. I also didn't end at zero. I went HARD at a $7,000 upgrade from a $3,000 pilot I had sold the previous quarter to a regional bakery. Thanks to that bakery, I ended at 14% of quota instead of 0%. I remember sending a Gchat to my manager: "Am I going to be put on a PIP?" His (delayed) response was that he needed to talk to me at the end of the day. Fortunately for me, that ended up being a very positive meeting. We agreed on metrics I needed to hit the following quarter, but he shared his confidence in me. I ended up hitting quota the following quarter. The quarter after that, I pulled in a late deal that put me far enough over quota to earn a promotion. The quarter after my promotion, I hit 91% of quota. Then, I never missed again as an AE. While my results picked up, my confidence lagged. I spent a while on my first stage: "I'm so bad I'm going to get fired." After a few quarters of success, my second stage arrived: "Maybe I can actually be an average rep." It was several years before my confidence reached the level of "maybe I can accomplish something special." I'm sharing this because many of my audience are earlier in their careers. Maybe you are worried you are about to be put on a PIP. Maybe you are just hoping to be an average AE someday. Or maybe you are starting to catch some momentum and thinking, "This may actually go somewhere." My message for today is simple: where you are on your journey today has little to do with where you end up... as long as you keep moving.
