It might not surprise you to know that trends and predictions articles tend to do quite well and draw a lot of eyeballs. You'll likely be even less surprised to know the Digital Labels & Packaging trends and predictions article published at the end of 2020 and foretelling what was to come in 2021 is one of the most-read articles we've published in the history of DLP. As 2023 draws to a conclusion, we're now actively looking for predictions from the print supply/packaging value chain for 2024. It's shaping up to be another challenging year for sure, but with the return of #drupa, there's also going to be a lot of excitement and anticipaton. If you would like to have your say and share your thoughts with the packaging industry at large, send 200-250 words outlining your hopes, aspirations and aspirations for the next 12-18 months to david.p@whitmar.co.uk at your earliest convenience and we'll spread the word far and wide. #printing #digitalprinting #labels #packaging

Calling all rural schools! If you have not heard about the Rural Technology Fund you need to check them out and learn about the various grants, they have available! The Rural Technology Fund recently met with my STEM team here at American Printing House for the Blind to learn about products for the classroom that are accessible and inclusive for students with visual impairments. Please read the article and share it with your general education teachers in rural communities. #ruraleducation #accessiblecoding #grants #STEM #coding #science #mathematics #math #engineering #engineer #technology #tech #teachers #principals #superintendents
We recently connected with an incredible organization - American Printing House for the Blind. Read all about the resources they provide to create accessible learning experiences for people who are blind and low vision: https://lnkd.in/eJ9G32yR

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬... 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐁𝐅-𝐋𝐁 As engineers and AM enthusiasts we are always impressed by the design, but sometimes the magic happens inside the part. Just a few thoughts on scan strategies... AM software tools and today's machine hardware capabilities provide a playground for process engineers. You can manipulate your scan strategy down to scan vector level to e.g. gain a functional advantage in future applications. 🚀 Beam shaping, a strategy that has been around for years, is coming back into the game to gain productivity during printing. However, more options increase the complexity of process parameter development, so I've summarized some of the scan strategies below👇: Looking forward to your comments. Sharing ideas about the future of packaging 🔮 - that's what our project meeting in Düsseldorf was all about. The drupa touch point packaging meeting focused on the general topic of collaboration. We were able to network, discuss core issues, and exchange ideas with other industry experts while working on joint projects. A key highlight for our hubergroup team was learning from other participants' planned projects and finding points of contact. Our project partner manroland Goss web systems GmbH was also part of the meeting. Curious about what we talked about? Stay tuned and learn more about our project in the next posts! 🔜 #packaging #future #printing #inks #teamwork #collaboration drupa – no. 1 for printing technologies

Day 64 #100daysofcodechallenge -Focused today on the most common form of Big-O Notation in programming. Linear time complexity, denoted as O(n), is a measure of the efficiency of an algorithm in terms of the input size (n) it operates on. An algorithm has linear time complexity if the time it takes to complete is directly proportional to the size of its input. For example a function printing “Hello World” 1 time vs 10000 times would have a linear time complexity. #fitdevs -Walked 3 miles outside, then I ran 3 miles on the treadmill at a 10 percent incline.

Love Air Conditioning? Thank the printing industry! The advent of air conditioning, often hailed as one of the most transformative technological advancements of the 20th century, started out as a way to address the printing challenges resulting from the hot, unrelentingly humid air on printing shop floors. Read this article by Heidi Tolliver-Walker as she looks at how modern air conditioning came about and be thankful for Carrier HVAC and the printing industry! https://lnkd.in/g4zYhPFm
