Founder, U Fit Studio (Leicester) / Personal training / Group Training / Yoga & Pilates / Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching
I’d like to take a moment to explore a word that I know might sound a bit clichéd these days - abundance. I’ve been thinking, its application in the wellness and fitness industry, especially here in Leicester's city centre, is not only applicable but essential! In the fitness and wellness world, the success of one business often acts as a tide that lifts all boats. When one of us succeeds in drawing attention to the importance of health and wellness, it doesn't detract from others, it actually increases overall consumer awareness and interest. This, in turn, expands the market for all of us. The reality is, it’s about creating a bigger pie, not fighting over the slices! At U Fit Studio, we’re embracing this idea through collaborations that enhance customer value and experience. Like joint promotions with local businesses or workshops with local wellness experts. And each partnership benefits not just the businesses involved but our clients as well. I firmly believe in the power of partnerships and am always eager to discuss how local businesses can work together. We can complement each other’s offerings and, I believe, integrate our services to offer comprehensive wellness solutions. Even if a discussion doesn’t lead to a direct partnership it strengthens our network and, perhaps what I love more, fosters a strong community spirit. By supporting each other, we can contribute to a vibrant city centre that attracts more visitors and residents alike. This not only makes good business sense but also creates a livelier, more engaging community for everyone – something I think we all need, and I hope you agree. If you're part of Leicester’s health and wellness scene and are open to exploring collaborative opportunities, or simply want to share ideas, please reach out to me. Together, we can prove that abundance is more than just a buzzword - it's a sustainable business strategy that enriches our entire community. Thank you for considering the power of collective effort. Here’s to growing together and making Leicester a beacon of health and wellness. I’d love to chat with you over a cocktail at our FREE launch party event on the evening of the 22nd June. Just head over to Eventbrite to grab your ticket(s) using the code LINKEDIN24 – tickets are going fast, so get them while you can. https://lnkd.in/ew9RQBT7 Code: LINKEDIN

There's a movement afoot. Ostensibly, it's about health and wellness. But allow me to posit another idea: 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆. Everyone is looking for more places to connect in a meaningful way. The rise of elevated health and wellness clubs like the Continuum Club and Remedy Place follow the trajectory of other co-working, meeting and hospitality platforms like Convene, Soho House & Co, The Core Club, NeueHouse, Maxwell Social, reshaping how people meet and work, making every gathering memorable and meaningful. They're all creating cultures that value collaboration over convention and flexibility over force. These clubs are not just spaces but beacons for a new era, where every interaction is an opportunity to foster connection, well-being, and a collective reimagining of how we integrate our personal and professional lives. I'm rooting for all of them, but especially my alma mater, clients, and friends at Convene. Honestly, they're killing it right now, and I couldn't be happier for them. #realestate #hospitality #thirdplace #healthwellness

It was great to attend the Global Wellness Institute's #realestate symposium last week with Jaykant Patel. The impact of real estate on people's wellness has not gone unnoticed. Check out below excerpts from attached Forbes' article. #wearewell #peopleandplanet "While other elements in the race for #longevity revolve around more familiar trends such as nutrition, spa treatments, and high-end fitness programs, #realestatewellness refers to residential and commercial buildings that are proactively designed, built, and operated to support the holistic health of their residents.... “In the past, people often associated wellness real estate with amenity-filled resort properties and retirement communities, but they are now seeing it in a more holistic light—incorporating diverse features like strong air filtration, better sound proofing, facilities for outdoor exercise, ample community and social spaces, and access to nature,” the report’s authors, Katherine Johnston and Ophelia Yeung, continue. “Across the world, there is rising demand for buildings, homes, and communities that help people to live a healthier lifestyle and protect their health, creating vast potential for the wellness real estate sector.” That sector will grow, according to the report’s forecast, “by 15.8% annually from 2023 to 2028, when it will approach the trillion-dollar mark ($912.6 billion forecasted for 2028).” ... “What’s good for people is good for business,” noted Rachel Hodgdon, president and CEO of the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) Building Institute at Tuesday’s symposium. The institute is a third-party rating system that issues WELL certification for buildings, accounting for elements including air, water, light, thermal comfort, sound and materials—resulting not only in improved mental health and overall workplace satisfaction for employees, but in a significant rise in annual gains and S&P 500 appreciation for companies, Hodgdon said." https://lnkd.in/eTGj3msC

Fresh numbers from the Global Wellness Summitt revealed that the global wellness economy has grown to US$5.6 trillion, with the spa sector and thermal/mineral springs segments being worth US$104.5 billion and US$46.3 billion of that respectively. A conference panel talked about a huge market of younger people engaged with exercise, physical activity, and sport and will eventually supersede the current generation of spa-goers, presenting operators with new audiences and opportunities to pivot their model to active wellness.
