[Event] 👍The 1st edition of #aiPULSE by Scaleway (November 17 in Paris) was a terrific event. Philippe Notton took part in a panel about Next-Gen #AI Hardware: Meeting tomorrow's compute demands while balancing accessibility, and environmental impact with co-panelists Mark Armstrong from Hewlett Packard Enterprise, James Coomer from DDN Storage, Jean Senellart from Quandela. SiPearl is building the world’s first energy-efficient #HPC-dedicated microprocessor designed to work with any third-party accelerator (#GPU, AI, #quantum). This new generation of microprocessors will first target EuroHPC Joint Undertaking ecosystem, which is deploying world-class #supercomputing infrastructures in Europe for solving major challenges in medical research, artificial intelligence, security, energy management and climate while reducing its environmental footprint. 

The Electropages team met Paul Williamson from Arm at embedded world Exhibition&Conference, who introduced their latest #AI accelerator for edge devices, the Ethos-U85, aimed at enhancing #microcontroller capabilities significantly compared to the previous generation, Ethos-U55 and Ethos-U65. The Ethos-U85, currently demonstrated on #FPGA, represents a forward leap by #arm in microcontroller design, promising substantial improvements in speed and efficiency for embedded applications starting next year. This development aligns with arm's focus on low-power, high-performance solutions suitable for devices like doorbell cameras which require real-time responsiveness.
