The newly inaugurated Fendt Lodge is a celebration of Fendt's presence in North America, serving as a hub where visitors can delve into the rich history of the brand. Beyond its historical significance, it embodies a deeper purpose. As Eric Hansotia, AGCO's Chairman, President and CEO, puts it, "We want to invite farmers in so we can learn about how we can serve and support them better."
Have you had the chance to explore the Fendt Lodge yet? We'd love to hear all about your visit! Don't forget to drop your favorite photos and stories in the comments below.

I’m not a fan of the phrase favorite student” but I do like celebrating the successess of ALL my students, and after 22 years I know of a few 🥇 and they are the “memorable” ones, the ones who never stop being a student, who know that experiencal “failure” is the only true path to success, otherwise it is all theory with no application. They are often the ones receptive to building an entrepreneurial MINDSET/SKILL SET. Guest speakers spark their imagination, and I nurture their creativity and confidence. I also teach collaboration skills and hold students accountable for their success. The concept of “grading” is fading fast, I prefer the portfolio approach and grade the project AND the process. Students also peer and self assess. The weekly reflection is my usual go-to. And yes, I still have to turn in those A’s and B’s with an occasional C, D or F. If you get below a B it is not my fault btw.
Some students (and parents) still see good GPA’s (aka Godly Professor A’s) as the path to a great ROI, and turn to US News and Reports as their “financial advisor.” But a better way to think about “investing in someone’s future” is to learn about what those “creative kids” are up too. News flash, they are not all art students but most of mine are.
Granted, less are Art History majors, most are Studio who take an art history class or two! Chris Sainato was one such student. After Modern Art and a paper on Russian Revolution Graphic Posters, he took my Business of Art and Entrepreneurship. I had to wait till after I got the “golden ring” to unwed myself from worrying about what others think and develop this course, yes, I got tenure in 2008. I have to admit, it felt good to title my course with those two words; I can’t tell you the number of times I heard “we’re not a business school, you are teaching at a Liberal Arts College Lorraine.” Some I knew had not yet wrapped their head around teaching #entrepreneurship and that was ok. But the students….that was a whole different story. Class had waiting lists, taught it every other year now every year for past four and may teach 2 x a year given the demand.
But I digress….this is not about me being spiteful, holding grudges or complaining or any of that, who has time !? It’s about the STUDENT. And the ones who are happy (THAT is what success looks like) they tend to be the creative, compassionate, kind and dedicated ones, not deterred by the naysayers, the “what are you going to do with an art degree?” kind. No, these are the students who knew that hard work is not a sprint but a marathon. The students who knew it might take a few years to get to the “starting pay of a STEM grad” (also a myth btw).
But at the end of the day, I do have “favorites” and they are the ones who make me a better Professor. And here is one such former #Union student.
Congratulations Chris. You have no idea how much joy this brings me!! Bravo my friend, bravo! Can’t wait to see what you and your team do next.

Today is International Carrot Day, a chance to celebrate our favourite orange vegetable. To help you celebrate here are a few fun facts about carrots from the British Carrot Association:
· We Brits eat our way through £290 million or 700,000 tonnes worth of carrots every year – that’s approximately 100 carrots per person.
· Each year 22 billion seeds are planted in Britain, producing around 100 carrots per year for every member of the population.
· The total area in Britain planted with carrots each year is 9000ha – double the size of Holland’s carrot production area. That’s 2000 times bigger than the roof area of the new Wembley Stadium or the equivalent of 18,000 football pitches.
· The World’s Longest Carrot was grown by Joe Atheron from Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire in 2007. The carrot was measured in at 5.84 metres, over 19 foot long.
· The World’s Heaviest Carrot was grown by Peter Glazebrook from Newark, Nottinghamshire in 2014 and weighed 20 pounds (9.07 kg).
· If you laid all the carrots grown in this country in one year end to end they would reach 2.3 million kilometres – that’s two and a half return trips to the moon.
If you're a carrot farmer and need specialist nutrient formulations to boost growth, give Grotech Production a call. We could develop one just for you.
It’s been a whole year since I launched the new business. 🥂 Cheers and HBD, bb! I have big wants and dreams for Wondergold Pictures and for myself. I am reminding myself today that we’re just getting started.
I believe in this new approach and direction I’m going in by launching a company vs. working independently. I believe in standing by new rates and offering the level of services I offer. I also believe in focusing in rather than the diversity of services I was doing before. It feels like protecting my capacity. I have been shifting and conserving my energy in the process. Caring for myself and my mental health. It was a really hard decade of my career hustling and building these skills.
I feel the relief in this new way. I stand by my choice to reorient towards the intentional clients I want for photo and video creation. I’m dreaming of us finding each other. And. I believe in the way this will operate. With care. With heart. And to look good doing it.
And yet. Launching the new company didn’t magically fix all my problems. ((What!!?!) I didn’t gain a ton of new clients. I’m not making any more money. I actually made less last year than I did in 2022. Higher profit margin and all that, and importantly, I took care of myself last year. In a big way.
I have to continue watering and nurturing this. The doubts aren’t louder than the goodness here. But if I’m honest, it is a really hard thing to run a business. As a creative human. With ADHD and CPTSD. I think it’s especially hard in late-stage capitalism and ungodly costs of living and combatting the fast food of video creation. Or seeing commercial-scale production and knowing our place in the middle. Just different. And that’s okay.
This little business is my creative heart and soul. And my values out loud. I feel absolutely alive in this new life and I am so freaking proud.
I would really like WG to become the thing that I dream for her to be. I’m not really sure how to get there, one step at a time, I suppose. I am trying and I am moving forward. Cheers to one year, my lil business, and everyone who’s joined us along the way and made it real. 🎥🙏💋
