Canadian, U.S. and other navy chiefs visit China as militaries try to rebuild relations
Defense Staff Gen. Wayne Eyre singled out China and Russia as Canada’s main adversaries. Eyre claimed that both nations consider themselves at war with the West.
In October 2023, Defense Minister Bill Blair accused China’s military of unacceptable and unsafe behavior after a fighter jet came within five meters of a Canadian surveillance plane over the East China Sea.
Zhang Youxia, vice chairman of China’s Central Military Commission (Western Pacific Naval Symposium), stated that China is committed to resolving maritime disputes peacefully through consultation with countries directly involved, but it would also safeguard its legitimate sovereign rights.
Cong Peiwu, China’s ambassador to Canada, said an effort by Canada to restore normal military communication will hit headwinds if the Canadian navy sends another ship to the Taiwan Strait.
This is it... China wants the South China Sea, Taiwan, and the respect of its sovereignty, not negotiable... any opening we make shows our reluctance to the armed defense of Taiwan... they do not deal, they study us. We are already engaged in Ukraine, the Middle East, and they very well know that no country has aver won a war on two fronts.
They do war through their proxies: Russia, North Korea, and Iran.
They know history, and how the Cuba missile crisis concluded. At the time, USA was lead by JFK, not gangrened by Donald Trump, Russia's and China's puppet.
China wants to take maritime trade routes. They build up their Army so the USA cannot intimidate them in economic submission, their War is economic.
They steal IP.
