Relax about AI! While AI has made significant advancements, it still has several limitations. These include a lack of common sense, data dependency, limited creativity and intuition, lack of real-time learning, ethical and moral considerations, limited comprehension of context, lack of common sense reasoning, vulnerability to adversarial attacks, and resource-intensive nature. However, ongoing research and advancements are constantly pushing the boundaries, and these limitations can be mitigated with time and further innovation. Interesting article about how AI advancements in supply chain solutions could increase productivity, efficiency, and precision in manufacturing. As I discussed in a recent interview with USA Today (I'll link below), there are so many exciting benefits that AI can bring to the supply chain industry. However, we have to meet this enthusiasm with an actual amount—if not more—of caution. The potential adverse effects on jobs, employees, society, and privacy are very real and must be addressed before we can see a positive, widespread integration process. I think I've made a pretty spot-on analogy when comparing the current speed at which AI is developing to a truck speeding toward a cliff without guardrails.
