Are you thinking about a renovation but don't know where to start? Keep reading for the TOP 5 THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN STARTING A RENOVATION. 1. Start with speaking to a few designers. I always recommend that you ask friends and neighbours who have had renovations done if they were happy with their designer, the process and the end result. Did the job finish on time and within budget? 2. Don't JUST hire a contractor. That's a bit like hiring a seamstress to design a gown for The Met gala. You need BOTH, a designer and a contractor. 3. Get a firm and realistic idea of what your potential costs will be. Ask around to see what similar jobs have cost. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. 4. Make sure you actually LIKE your designer. You will be spending a fair amount of time collaborating with this person. You want to know that the designer, "gets you" and you'll want to enjoy the time you spend together. 5. Finally, Trust your Gut! This little voice in our heads often gets ignored. The design/build process should not be a pain point. Yes, there are often surprises when dealing in the construction world, but you want to feel confident that the team you hire are just that, YOUR team, people who want the same end result and are dedicated to making sure you are happy with the results.

Urban/Masterplanner Many of you work with leading companies, have an amazing work history, and create fantastic designs for your #clients, so why do you struggle to market yourself when it comes to your career...? As a former Design Manager it's pretty frustrating to see people struggle... This is by no means exactly what all #employers want to see; however, based on the successful applicants we've placed last year and my 10 years in design, this is what it may look like. If it's for a technical role you may want to include more CAD drawings etc - High quality images are preferred. A good portfolio should be: 1. #Minimal / #Concise 2. #Relevant / #Structured 3. #Visual / #Creative 4. #Informative / #Technical 5. #Personal / #Tailored 🙌 Do you wish to stand out from the crowd and attract a recruiter's attention? ☝ For design roles, we look at your portfolio first and then your resume. ✌ You have one chance to impress; do it the first time around! 🤘 Your portfolio is a reflection of your ability and personality 🖖 Submit a document, that you'd be happy to share as a client submission 🖐 Be creative; this is 99% of your job

Founder and CEO - Interior Coach | Architectural Firm* | I transform and design spaces | *Bootstraped
"I am currently occupied, but I don't consider it a loss for LinkedIn. Often, I hear people asking me, 'Manish, why aren't you available for yourself?' 📌 To which I respond, 'Who will be present at those places where my presence is most required?' Being active on LinkedIn or social media is crucial, but as the #owner, #founder, and #CEO of my company, I prioritize accordingly. 'We are already occupied,' I often emphasize. However, I also recognize the importance of maintaining and growing my brand value, which is why I'm active here as well. By the way, I require professionals for my company: - - Architect - Interior Designer - Sales Executive - Draughtsperson (Immediate Joining) Send your resume and portfolio to the provided email address, mentioning this post, and "please wait for 24 to 48 hours for getting our response." Please avoid sending personal direct messages. Email: hr@myinteriorcoach.com CC: info@myinteriorcoach.com"

That's one way to fill a vacancy! *Not my photo* I recently made a post about what can be done to vacant big boxes that generated some good discussion. What are your thoughts on this? The fact they kept the rainbow design is my favorite part 😂 #retailrealestate #adaptivereuse #TheDealMan

At ESM, we like to leave the important stuff to our expert craftspeople. However... in the events and exhibitions industry, where deadlines and showtimes wait for no-one, sometimes everyone has to get stuck in on-site to make sure projects are completed on time and to the high standard all our clients have come to expect. 🏋♂️ Our Project Managers are no exception; as well as being heavily involved in planning, administration and client liaison from start to finish, they regularly work side by side with our operatives on the ground during the build-up. Some even have previous experience in carpentry or joinery to draw from, so not only do they know exactly what goes in to each and every build, but they're also perfectly placed to provide practical assistance on-site in a pinch. 🛠 This cross-industry experience also proves to be an invaluable resource when calculating job costs, where we have to consider the real-life practicalities of initial design options. As our production manager Matt Limb and the rest of our setting out team would tell you, trying to translate creative visuals into workable scaled CAD drawings (and eventually structurally sound exhibition stands) is no easy task... but we love the challenge 😎 We're proud of the way our in-house cross-departmental collaboration helps keep projects running smoothly and (hopefully!) minimises the kind of unhelpful disconnect between management and workforce you might find in larger, corporate enterprises. In the spirit of co-operation here's one of our project managers Ed having a go at applying graphics on Synology's stand at The Photography & Video Show last week. 👨🎨 Let us know about all the things you've had to help out with on site to get the job done! #teamwork #events #exhibitions #graphics #design #standbuilding #exhibitionstands #onsite #workforce #craftsmen #skills #exhibitionstandbuilding #projectmanagement

Educating, supporting, and promoting professional organizers and productivity specialists to empower our clients.
𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁! 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆’𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆! 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘫𝘰𝘣? Before I was a professional organizer, I worked as a façade engineer for Arup. We helped architects bring their visions to life by doing the technical detailing (weatherproofing, thermal analysis, construction sequencing, etc.) for their designs. I had the opportunity to work on some amazing projects! The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, designed by Frank Gehry, was a highlight. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰? There are so many! I love traveling and have been to 27 countries. Some of my favorites include New Zealand, Switzerland, Denmark, and Japan. 𝘋𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘩𝘪𝘥𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘰𝘣𝘣𝘪𝘦𝘴? I've always been a big LEGO fan. LEGO is actually what inspired me to pursue degrees in architecture and architectural engineering. I also love playing sports (golf, pickleball, basketball) and practicing Pilates. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘫𝘰𝘣? I love seeing how happy and excited clients are when they see a finished space. That's definitely the best part of my job! I also love designing spaces and "containerizing" (putting things away once they've been sorted and purged). 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘺𝘱𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘦 𝘪𝘯? We specialize in home organizing, but we do take on projects with small businesses too. Something that sets us apart is our space planning and 3D modeling skillset. Once we take measurements of a space, we put it into CAD and add organizing products (baskets, bins, etc.) to scale so clients can see what their finished space will look like. 𝘋𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘣𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮? I do most of the work myself and will hire subcontractors for larger projects. I would love to have a full-time team in the future!
