"As a female, you shouldn’t be made to feel less than in any aspect, at work, in terms of pay, in the ability to do certain things in a job. It’s having the opportunities that others have. At TrueNorth that is actually the case, the opportunities available to other people in the company are also available to me." Many, many of us are facing career challenges. We can face these challenges on our own, or we can lean on the wisdom and support of like-minded women. That's where NEXT Career Crews steps in: your very own crew of compassionate supporters, accountability partners, co-conspirators and truth tellers who are willing to be unapologetically honest about how it's REALLY going in career and life. NEXT Career Crews are intimate groups of 8-12 women who meet virtually once a month to build each other up, hold space to say the hard things about career and life, share wise advice and remind each other that we are worthy of all of our career desires. Our next cohort will run from January to December of 2024 and the cost to join this crew is $1200. We meet once a month, typically on the first Monday of each month at 12pm ET. During each session my goal is to facilitate discussion with thought provoking topics selected by the group and to create a safe space for connection building, peer support and vulnerable conversations. Interested in learning more? Send me a DM to learn how to RSVP for one of our upcoming informational sessions - October 18th at 12pm ET or November 3rd at 12pm ET!

At Upscale Partners, we spend a lot of time asking probing questions and trying to discover all there is to know about our clients and candidates. So we figured it's only fair that we turn the tables and put our co-founders, Georgina Worden and Emma Brown, on the receiving end of a (very light) grilling! This was just the warm-up though, so if you want to know more about hiring senior talent for scaleups, headhunter insights, or life as female founders, drop your questions for Emma and Georgina in the comments 👇

"Diversity is as expansive as the universe, and it changes as quickly as a kaleidoscope changes." In this article, Dave Lenox, Managing Partner of The Valtas Group takes a very personal and powerful approach to the question of why DEI really matters in hiring. As recruiters at #theASPteam, we're constantly tasked with navigating company's, hiring managers' and candidates' lived diversity, both seen and unseen. Having worked with hundreds of companies across my years in recruiting, I have seen first-hand how both being open to anyone's own diversity can contribute to a team/company culture and how embracing it can directly affect retention. I don't think the concept is hard to grasp - we all possess it as children. As long as we recognize that the lived human experience is vast, always changing and that we will never uncover all its variations, we get the concept of diversity. Embracing it in the hiring process is the next step, so please check out this article and let me know your thoughts. https://lnkd.in/gDt4GkVW
