From the course: HR Leadership in the Metaverse

Talent acquisition

- The combination of the pandemic pulling the future of work forward, tensions ignited by The Great Resignation, and talent shortages have complicated the process of acquiring top talent, so cultivating relationships with candidates, creating spaces, and fostering opportunities for them to experience the full potential of candidate experience is more important than ever. The Metaverse can facilitate robust and immersive candidate experiences that are creative, compelling, and that differentiate your employer brand. In fact, research suggests that millennial and Gen Z candidates may expect a metaverse experience during the recruitment process. Therefore, implementing a metaverse strategy into the talent acquisition process can add relevancy and competitive advantage in your quest for top talent. Brands like Samsung, Hyundai, Siemens, PwC, and Accenture have embedded a Metaverse strategy into the talent acquisition process. And platforms like Microsoft Mesh and Meta's Horizon Workrooms are leading the way in facilitating the transition of HR practices into the Metaverse. In the next few videos, I'm going to highlight three areas and provide examples of how companies are integrating the Metaverse into the talent acquisition process. The areas are virtual recruitment fairs, interviews and assessments, and virtual onboarding.
