We're currently looking for a manager to join our team in Zero Emission Vehicle Technologies.

This role will be responsible for leading various projects that fall under Zero Emission Vehicle Technologies. Projects will utilize project management skills, automotive technical knowhow and ability to work on cross functional team. Job functions include but are not limited to:

  • Department Performance: hire, develop, train, and engage department staff; Plan and/or adjust manpower to meet workload
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead resolution of cross-functional issues with other R&D departments, or divisions of Nissan (Purchasing, Manufacturing, etc.) and suppliers
  • Operational Management and Planning: Develop and execute Business Plans for the department including short-term and long-term strategic initiatives; Plan and manage the budget (travel, OT, etc.) for the department; Plan, lead, and motivate your team to execute project development and meet key milestones; track and report progress of your team's output and milestone achievement.
  • Work closely with Japan based teams to discuss benchmarking, testing, strategies and schedules and budget. Follow through work requests to completion with complete summary provided detailed data and insights.
  • Manage suppliers and engineering service companies in technical development, testing, certification, and research.
  • Support team on technical testing when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline
  • 8 or more years of directly related professional-level engineering experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to lead and influence others
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, cross-functional environment with other technical and non-technical disciplines both internal and external
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Knowledge of Li-Ion batteries and BEV systems a plus
  • Up to 10% travel required (domestic and international)
