Applied Resource Group is seeking a motivated System Administrator to join our clients IT team. The role involves providing essential maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for Windows Server Operating Systems (2016, 2019, and 2022) and various enterprise applications. The System Administrator will work under the guidance of a Senior System Administrator to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Windows Server Operating Systems.
- Assist in the management of enterprise applications including Enterprise Antivirus/Anti-Malware, HP SIM, WSUS, and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Resolve assigned trouble tickets and change requests promptly and effectively.
- Monitor system performance and manage alerts to ensure uninterrupted operation.
- Implement Microsoft patching and server firmware updates.
- Manage Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP configurations.
- Maintain documentation related to system and application installations, upgrades, and maintenance processes.
- Configure and manage Storage RAID configurations.
- Coordinate with vendors for technical issue resolution when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems.
- Familiarity with server hardware and problem identification/resolution.
- Proficiency in using trouble/change ticket systems.
- Ability to monitor systems and manage alerts effectively.
- Experience with Microsoft patching and server firmware updates.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
- Familiarity with Storage RAID configurations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR Associate degree and two years of related experience OR four years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Technical Certification(s).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience with Microsoft 2019 and/or 2022 Server.
- Exposure to PowerShell scripting.
- Experience in rack mount and cable servers.
Non-Technical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work after business hours, weekends, and provide on-call support as needed.
- Effective ability to schedule and prioritize tasks.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver results under pressure.
