Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Welding Engineer in Mossville, IL. The work will be done onsite three days a week. The rest will be work-from-home. This position requires up to 25% travel. This is a long term contract. It can lead to permanent employment with our customer. Compensation is $120,000/yr including benefits, vision, dental, health insurance, 401K and holiday pay. Cullerton Group will provide sponsorship.

Job Title: Welding Engineer - Advanced Manufacturing Technology Team

Summary:

We are seeking a Welding Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing Technology Team. This role involves researching new welding technologies and troubleshooting existing welding issues across all locations in North America. The position requires travel up to 25% of the time. The ideal candidate will have extensive welding experience and relevant welding certifications.

Job Responsibilities:

Research and evaluate new welding technologies to enhance manufacturing processes.

Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues at various locations across North America.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new welding technologies.

Provide technical support and guidance on welding processes and standards.

Develop and maintain documentation related to welding procedures and technologies.

Conduct training sessions for staff on new welding technologies and best practices.

Skills:

Technical Skills (Required):

Extensive experience in welding and welding technologies.

Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Technical Skills (Desired):

Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies.

Experience with welding automation and robotics.

Familiarity with quality control and inspection processes.

Soft Skills (Required):

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

Relevant welding certifications.

Several years of hands-on welding experience
