Warehouse Manager

Direct Hire; 100% on site; Monday to Friday

Job Summary: Seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join the team. This role is crucial for overseeing the performance of hourly employees engaged in processing and warehousing. The successful candidate will ensure that production quantity and quality meet established targets and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision & Performance Management: Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, and appraise job results. Coach, counsel, and discipline employees, while initiating and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Staff Maintenance: Select, orient, and train employees, fostering personal growth opportunities.
  • Workflow Management: Monitor process steps, personnel, and resources; study methods, implement cost reductions, and correct malfunctions. Foster cooperation within and between departments.
  • Production Planning: Schedule and assign personnel, establish priorities, monitor progress, revise schedules, and resolve issues. Report on shift production summaries.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce organizational standards to maintain quality service.
  • Equipment Management: Call for repairs and evaluate new equipment and techniques to ensure smooth operations.
  • Data Management: Ensure accuracy of records and data; analyze production performance.
  • Safety & Compliance: Educate and direct personnel on the use of control points, equipment, and resources. Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Problem Resolution: Analyze data to resolve personnel issues, investigate and identify solutions, and recommend actions.
  • Professional Development: Attend educational workshops and review professional publications to maintain professional and technical knowledge.
  • Team Contribution: Collaborate with the team to achieve related results as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of warehouse experience in the metals service center industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of material processing and warehousing.
  • Excellent math, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet workflow requirements and shipping schedules.
